“We had a great stay here! The room was cozy and had everything we needed. It was in a convenient location not far from Lake Placid and very central in Elizabethtown being near a grocery store and convenience stores. It was very convenient being above the restaurant (the options were unique and flavorful and the cocktails were top tier). The owner was also very responsive. We would stay again.”

“The restaurant is a must visit if you are ever in the area! I stay here evertime I go snowboarding at Whiteface since it's only a 30 minute drive away, but mainly to go to the restaurant downstairs, it is one of my favorite restaurantst. I love this restaurant! I can eat here everyday! The service is fantastic, the drinks top notch, and the food is always delicious. 5 Starts for the restaurant! The rooms are cozy but need some updating, things look/feel old and are falling apart or not functioning, like the AC unit on my most recent visit. 3.5 Starts for the inn!”

“We passed a very comfortable night at the Inn on our way to Quebec. The historic charm of the snow-covered, old building drew us in immediately. Check in was a breeze. Our host was incredibly accommodating, and we settled right in. We put a classic jazz album on the Bluetooth turntable in our room, and rested up before having an absolutely delicious meal in the restaurant downstairs. The cocktail list was inventive, and the delicious, seasonal menu was locally sourced and well-executed. Plus, the friendly staff were so helpful, and the meal so satisfying, we “bought a round for the kitchen” to show our appreciation. Slept well in our cozy beds and were off on our way in the morning. I would definitely recommend the Deer’s Head Inn for weary travelers and epicureans alike.”
