The Dream Away Lodge

“The Dream Away is a special place. Great food, music, and cocktails can be found in this historic farmhouse located near the October Mountain State forest. We enjoyed strolling around the grounds before dinner. We had the crispy salmon, grilled pork tenderloin souvlaki and peach pie for dessert. Our entrees were delicious and the dessert was just okay. Waitress service was good, but we felt rushed. Before we finished our entrées, our waitress dropped off the dessert menu and said "no rush". Then we were asked two more times while we were still eating if we had decided on dessert, again told "no rush". Afterwards, we sat by the fire and listen to the live music. Overall, a great evening!”

“Absolutely love coming to the Dreamaway! So many memories here! Been coming here for over ten years and it never gets old! Eclectic, wonderful, love roaming around outside by the fire with a drink in hand. The place is so full of nostalgia and its energy is deeply embedded in and on its walls. Daniel, still greets each guest and always so great to charity him for a bit. Great menu, cocktails to die for and friendly staff to boot.”

“Hitting their stride. The new owners are delivering special treats and continually refining this magical place. Their new chef, Amillie, is knocking it out of the park with new culinary creations that are delicious and unique. I popped in to try first-hand her new menu and got to experience her daily special made with haddock and shrimp. It was a delightful treat on many levels. The food, service, entertainment, and atmosphere was top notch. I'm excited to go back and experience more.”
