“Charming, magical experience! We love this tea house. The house is precious and creates such a perfect ambiance for afternoon tea. They have a wide variety of teas to choose from and we have never been disappointed. The food is also very tasty. Upstairs there is a small gift shop and they have also recently added a “to go” window with teas, coffee, and pastries. Highly recommend for a girls date, bridal shower, or maybe to take your grandmother out for tea!”

“Average food and service for a premium price. The house is lovely, I wish they offered more on the history of the home. There are two small yard signs outside with facts on the home and previous owners, perhaps there is more if you walk around the yard? It was very cold the day we went so we didn't explore the grounds. I appreciated the use of antique china for the tea place settings. The food is good but not off the charts for the price. Our reservation was for the high tea experience, at a whopping $68 per person. This is not a meal but more of an hors d'oeuvre platter. Tea is unlimited but also expected a premium tea product for the price and didn't feel that was the case. Our party included 7 adults and 1 child and we were seated at a table that did not comfortably fit a group of that size, it was very cramped. I agree with other reviews that for the price this did not hit the mark. Food and beverage beyond what's included in the high tea can be purchased in addition to your tea menu. For example, a small mimosa $8, side salad $6. You're definitely paying for the experience of being in a historic home but aside from that, the service is no different than any other restaurant.”

“This is not what it used to be. You can only get the experience you come here for if you make expensive reservations for high tea. You can no longer come and order off tje regular menu and eat inside the beautiful decorated part of the house. Instead there is a fast serve café, the prices are quite high and not worth what you get. There are limited options for lunch, nothing like the menu you get with reservations. My mom and I got sandwiches which were $10 each and tasted fine, not great, really very mediocre. I wouldn't pay more than $5 for that sandwich. The staff is friendly. Please change this place back to how it used to be. It was a very disappointing day for us since our first experience here was so great.”

“I really enjoyed the tea selection and quality — the tea itself was excellent. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t match the same standard. We also had to wait quite a long time to be seated, and the gift shop was closed during our visit, which was disappointing. Most of the food felt very dry, especially the sandwiches, and several dishes that were supposed to be served warm arrived cold. The pasta salads were particularly disappointing in both texture and flavor. I hope the food quality, preparation, and overall service experience can be improved.”

“We spent $175.25 for two tickets to their Mother’s Day tea, but the experience was disappointing. The food portions were quite small compared to other tea place in town. The lack of flexibility regarding food allergies in this place was also disappointing. I called 3–4 days in advance to mention my dairy allergy, specifically cheese. I was told they do not offer dietary accommodations and that tickets are non-refundable. Their only solution was for me to order and pay extra for sandwiches without cheese from their menu, as they refused to swap them (so I was served with items with cheese). While the staff member I spoke with was pleasant, the business policy feels money-driven rather than customer-centered. Having had wonderful, personalized experiences at the Four Seasons and the Westin hotel afternoon tea, where the chefs created custom cheese-free sandwiches for me, I do not recommend this place. They also do not provide separate tea pots for each customer either. I wish I have looked at the other people’s reviews first before booking with this place. (They replied with “your ticket was purchased with understanding that there will be no food accommodation. Just so everyone knows, they did not mention anywhere about this during the process of purchasing. I called them before purchasing, I called them to change the dates, and I had to change the time on the app. NO WHERE mentioned no food allergy accommodation:).”
