Chef Jeremy Austin crafts an ever-evolving menu inspired by Canada’s diverse landscapes, incorporating a refined contemporary Chinese approach that seamlessly blends his Canadian background with Chinese influences, blurring the lines between the two.
“We celebrated our anniversary at The Pine… and it was spectacular! Each dish on the tasting menu was thoughtful, beautifully presented, and worthy of every bit of its Michelin Star recognition. From the moment we walked through the door to the photo at the end of our night, the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The best ingredients from coast to coast were carefully curated into a culinary journey that absolutely did not disappoint — especially with the wine pairings alongside it all. You can truly feel the passion and creativity behind every course. Simply put, our night was unforgettable — one of those rare core memories you know you’ll talk about for years to come. If exceptional food and wine are your thing, treat yourself! Hey Pine crew — we miss you already, too!”
“The Pine in Creemore is absolutely the place to go. The food was amazing and the service was truly exceptional from start to finish. Every server who attended our table was happy, attentive, and friendly, which made the whole experience incredible and friendly at the same time. The food is truly delicious. Every course feels like a masterclass in balance and creativity, blending bold Chinese influences with local ingredients... I am quoting our servers, but I am agreeing with this statement 100%...😊 My personal favorite was the dumplings—the texture and depth of flavour were just incredible—but honestly, every single dish that followed, was equally amazing... and every single appetizer before the dumplings was also so delicious... Highly recommend”
“TL;DR… A $245 tasting menu that turns dinner into a story you actually feel, not just eat. Every detail is intentional, the service is flawless, and even when a dish challenges you, the experience never misses. Check out the pictures to get a glimpse of the experience. —— We went to The Pine last night to celebrate a birthday with friends, and it delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had. The 18-course tasting menu isn’t just a meal, it’s a fully thought-out experience from start to finish. At $245 per person plus corkage, you expect a lot and they exceed it in ways that go beyond the food. The service is immaculate. Every detail feels intentional. From the moment you walk in, the pacing, the presentation, the flow of dishes, everything is dialed in. Nothing feels rushed, nothing feels missed. What stood out just as much as the food was the storytelling. Before we ate a single bite, they walked us through the ingredients, most of which are sourced as locally as possible. Every dish had a purpose, a narrative, and a reason it was on the table. The space itself is understated but meaningful. Even the staff uniforms, coveralls that pay homage to the building’s former life as a gas station, tie into the identity of the restaurant. Custom cutlery and dishware for each course add another layer to the experience that you don’t see often. Food-wise, not every dish was our personal favorite, and that’s exactly the point. This is a place that pushes you to try new flavours, textures, and combinations you wouldn’t normally order. Some dishes were exceptional, others were more about the experience and exploration, but all of it was intentional. The pacing of the courses keeps you engaged without overwhelming you, even at 18 courses. It’s calm, controlled, and surprisingly comfortable. If you’re looking for a quick dinner, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for something memorable, thoughtful, and different, this is absolutely worth the trip to Creemore. We’ll be talking about this one for a long time.”
“Bravo to the entire team at The Pine Restaurant—what a phenomenal culinary experience. It’s clear how deeply Chef Jeremy Austin cares about every aspect of the guest experience, which was truly a pleasure to witness. The wine director (I believe his name was Gio) was exceptional, adding another layer of excellence to the evening. Everyone was incredibly down-to-earth, warm, and welcoming. This is undoubtedly one of the best dining experiences you’ll have—I can’t recommend it highly enough!”
“Very cute atmosphere (small number of tables) and every dish is an art piece that tells a story. A rollercoaster of wonderful flavours and each bite is better than the last. We went for our anniversary, and would definitely go again!”
