“We chose to host our wedding welcome reception at the gorgeous Windy Oaks Tasting Room in Carmel Valley and we couldn’t have been happier with our event! Throughout the planning process, Judy (one of the owners) was friendly, accommodating, flexible, and responsive. She and I worked collaboratively to put together an event plan to accommodate our approximately 60 guests. A few months prior to the event, Windy Oaks graciously hosted my husband and I for a complimentary tasting so that we could select the wines to serve at our reception. On the day of the event, the Windy Oaks team executed flawlessly. Kerry and Spencer were incredibly warm, gracious, and helpful. They were extremely attentive, keeping our glasses full during toasts, and sharing stories with our guests. Many of our guests made a point to tell us how much they enjoyed chatting with Kerry and Spencer; they felt very well taken care of and learned a lot about the three wines being served (grenache, pinot noir, chardonnay), which made the event all the more meaningful. At the end of the evening, the extra wine was all packed up and ready for us to take home. We can’t thank Windy Oaks enough for helping us kick off our wedding weekend with such a joyful, memorable reception! We also love that Windy Oaks is a true family-owned and operated business and appreciate their commitment to sustainable farming practices on their 30-acre vineyard.”
