Windy Oaks Estate is an estate winery 1,000' feet up overlooking the Monterey Bay, at the southern end of the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation, producing estate pinot noir and chardonnay, as well as other varietals sourced from select vineyards in the Monterey appellations.

“We stopped at this Winery on our recent trip up to Santa Cruz, it was highly rated by our hipcamp host. It was a beautiful spot nestled in the Redwoods and our server Caroline was fantastic! The entire time we were there all of the patrons were raving about her. The wine was delicious and we left with three bottles! We definitely recommend and would go again the next time we we are up there!! * added bonus the patio area is pet friendly!”

“The setting and atmosphere are very peaceful and the owners/staff are very friendly. They have a Pinot Noir from grapes grown on location that is quite good. Plan on buying a bottle and walking through the vineyard to the viewpoint. It's well worth the windy drive to Windy Oaks.”
“Found the winery on google maps. It was listed as "opening soon", so we chose to make thr trip. After roughly an hour and a half on rural and mountain roads we made it. Only to be met by an apoligetic employee who informed us that the place was closed due to a "private function ". We asked to speak with the management, but no management was present. The motto is "don't rely on published opening hours". The winery could have published the fact that they were closed, but chose not to.”
