ZuZu is a beloved, Spanish-inspired restaurant and tapas bar in Napa’s historic Old Town. For the last twelve years, it has drawn scores of visitors from near and far who come for its warm Mediterranean décor, lively atmosphere, and renowned small-plates menu that draws from the culinary traditions of Spain and South America.
“As a local, I can’t believe this was my first time coming here. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the tapas style menu made it so fun to try a variety of dishes without feeling overly stuffed. The portions were perfect for sharing, which turned dinner into a little parade of flavors instead of one giant plate coma. 🌮🫒🍤 Our server Michael was incredibly sweet and accommodating throughout the entire experience. We ordered a LOT of food, and he did such a great job pacing everything out so the table never felt crowded or rushed. He checked in on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and really elevated the experience with his attentiveness and kindness. This is such a great spot for sharing food, conversation, and trying something new. I’ll definitely be back again soon”
“Garrett was AMAZING!!! The food, AMAZING. Service, AMAZING!! Gem salad, spaghetti squash, flatiron steak and the potato’s (I don’t remember the name) were so amazing!! Soo delcicious! Also ordered a Leon drop rum martini that was chefs kiss 😘”
“A Standout Culinary Highlight in Downtown Napa! We visited ZuZu while in town for the Lighted Art Festival, and I honestly wasn’t prepared for how delicious the experience would be. While we were initially a bit concerned about being seated near the door—each opening brought a rush of cold air—the food quickly made us forget the chill. The menu is packed with tempting options, so we just kept ordering! While everything we tried was solid (7s and 8s across the board), three dishes were absolute showstoppers (9/10): Roasted Spaghetti Squash: A seasonal gem that was packed with flavor. The Pork Chop: This was a "special," and it truly lived up to be special. Arroz Negro Paella: Perfectly executed and a must-order. We finished with the Apple Empanada and two other desserts. The Apple Empanada is a dream for apple pie lovers. While the quality is excellent, the serving sizes are smaller than expected for the price. Logistics are a breeze since there’s plenty of street parking and a garage nearby, making everything in downtown walkable. If you’re in Napa and looking for incredible shareable plates, ZuZu is a must-visit. Just be sure to make a reservation!”
“Great reviews so we thought this restaurant was a must visit but sadly a little disappointing. We were sat at a table for two, crowded by the bar and two other tables with barely enough space to take our seats. Staff were adequate but not friendly and started taking plates off the table before we were finished. Couldn’t have the cocktail I wanted because they’d run out of one of the ingredients the day before. Ordered a sharing paella for two, which when it turned up was tasty however really only an individual paella. If you have a look at my photo it was about 8 inches in diameter.”
“Came here with a few friends and we ordered a variety of tapas, including gambas al ajillo, flat iron steak, lamb chops, grilled octopus, and arroz negro. The garlic shrimp was my favorite, very flavorful and tender. The steak was alright but nothing particularly memorable. The grilled octopus was unfortunately way too salty, and the paella was just okay for my taste. Service was friendly. Just note that if you come with a large group, a 20% gratuity is mandatory. Overall, it’s probably not a spot I’d go out of my way to return to.”
