A diverse menu utilizing fresh, seasonal ingredients with a focus on fresh fish and the highest quality steaks. Choose from an extensive wine list by the bottle and glass, bourbons, a rotating craft beer list, and full bar. Grab a drink with friends in the bar or have dinner in the dining room - two different environments offer plenty of options. 1913 gets its name from the building that houses it: an early 20th century Main Street storefront in downtown Roselle that was built in 1913 and originally housed Kee & Chappell Dairy. The building's original hardwood floors and exposed brick walls still remain.
“The food and service are outstanding! If you have a gluten allergy there is no better place. 90% of this menu was either gf or could be made gf. An exceptional selection of whisky and wine. We will most certainly be back. Shout out to Darren for the excellent service!”
“Amazing food & dining experience. Darren was a great server and made phenomenal recommendations for every course. Can’t wait to go back! Grilled Caesar salad, gluten free bread, and pasta with clams were all amazing! Being gluten free and having an entire menu to choose from is rare.”
“Visited this local Roselle restaurant today and really enjoyed it. The Bloody Mary was delicious, and all the appetizers and dishes we ordered were very flavorful. The duck was a little sweeter than I usually prefer, but it was still crispy and very tasty. Overall a great experience and a nice local spot to enjoy good food and drinks.”
“My husband, a couple of friends, and I made a reservation at 1913 to try out the restaurant week menu. This was our first time here and we will definitely be coming back soon. The beef carpaccio and burrata were great starters. The grilled Caesar wedge salad was my favorite bite of the night. The braised short rib was incredibly tender and new york strip was wonderful. To end the meal, we were served generous portions for dessert. We appreciated the attentive and friendly staff. It's a convenient stop near the Roselle metra and I would highly recommend 1918 for any date night!”
“The overall impression of the visit to the restaurant is very pleasant. The Ginger Martini I had vas really unique and good! The apple salad with goat cheese I was very tasty, but the dressing in the salad 🥗 was very average- too much vinegar. French fries served with burger were tasteless, like from not that restaurant. I don't know if we'll ever go back there - unless it's for a drink.”
