“What a great spot with a menu where you can’t really go wrong with anything. Jennifer was seriously such an amazing server!! Started with the grilled calamari which was a little too charcoal-ish for me but nonetheless good- served with a great spicy sauce. For drinks we got two Hugos , no notes there. So refreshing. The ragu pasta was great and so was the lobster ravioli! No notes, on the pasta, extra parm always a must. Ended with the Tres Latti , their Italian take on tiramisu and that really blew me away. Not the biggest tiramisu fan so this was quite perfect in my opinion. Jennifer made dining here so amazing ! Would definitely recommend if you can get a reservation. Inside collage wall was also perfectly assembled and gorgeous. As someone who works in visual design, this was the best vibe that gave a little Italy with a Fredricksburg flare. Would definitely come back.”

“We went on Saturday night and it was very busy and lively. We had reservations and were sat right away. Service was great and food was timed perfectly. We had the focaccia & beet salad. The salad was amazing with the beet vinaigrette sealing the deal. The bread was that was good. I had the scallops and they were delicious and huge! I’m not a big fan of Risotto but it’s having its moment with scallops lately. It was good if you like risotto ;) My husband had the Wild Boar Ragu and it was excellent. So well done. Not gamey at all. The cannolis to end on were also yummy.”

“This place is really great. Full story I came here plastered one time and had the best spaghetti I’ve ever had in my life. I didn’t rate it then because I didn’t know if it was reality or just me loving food. So I went back about four months later and it was still a great experience. Definitely get reservations point blank. This is very popular and for good reason it’s booked out sometimes two days in advance so no last-minute reservation reservations here. I see a lot of negative reviews about the wait time and to me it just tells shows that people are not used to higher end restaurants. The food is great. Specifically, the waitress recommended a wine and pesto dish pairing that my friend (Who is a Wine snob) Was obsessed with. They have options for different dietary restrictions. The cannoli was also amazing. A lot of people complain about their pizzas, but I wouldn’t think of this place as a pizza shop. I would think of this place as a high-end Italian that also has pizza if you want pizza. The calamari is not what you expect. It’s not like Olive Garden it’s grilled so it has a strong charcoal flavor not a fried flavor I see a lot of reviews about the rudeness of the staff but again I feel like people are expecting a mom and pop shop and it just isn’t it. Our waitress was very refined very understanding but also was good about saying when she didn’t have the time but would come back. This place is a unique up-scale feel in the midst of the German and brewery styles that are around it. Parking is street parking and kinda at the luck of what you can get but the street parking is free.”

“The food here is decent Italian. The Lobster ravioli was the first time I've had a lobster ravioli without lobster in it. It was just a stuffed ravioli with the lobster sprinkled on top. The scallop risotto and the tiramisu were both good. But the experience was marred before we even sat down. Alla Campagna called two hours before our confirmed reservation to tell us they no longer had our time slot because they now close at 9pm on weeknights. When I pointed out that their website, their Tock reservation page, and their Google listing all still showed the reservation time as valid, the response was that they hadn't had time to update their information on those pages. We had to cut a prior activity short to make an earlier time work. Running a reservation system means honoring the information you put in front of guests. The food doesn't make up for that kind of operational carelessness on the day of for something scheduled more than 30 days before.”
