While reservations are NOT required they are strongly encouraged. Especially on weekends and holidays. Our bar is also open for walk-ins, first come fist serve. If you are coming on a Friday, Saturday or Holiday Weekend Jack's is very busy, so here’s what you need to know: Fridays & Saturday require a $20/person deposit via tock (refunded upon check-in). Cancel at least 48 hours in advance to avoid charges. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to enjoy a cocktail and avoid losing your reservation. 90-minute table limit to accommodate all guests. Please respect this. Family-style options available—larger steaks serve 2–4 comfortably. Steak cook times may take up to 40 minutes—order promptly! LARGE PARTIES: As you may know, many Fredericksburg restaurants do not accept large group reservations on weekends or holidays. We make an exception to this local practice and are delighted to host your party. At Jack’s Chophouse, large groups are welcome, but we do have some guidelines. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, we ask that you review and share the following guidelines and our Family Style menu with all members of your group today. If these terms do not work for your party, we completely understand—please contact us right away to cancel your reservation. Large Party Reservation Guidelines for groups of 6 or more: · Jack’s Chophouse is a New York-style Italian Steakhouse, and our large groups are served true family-style. This style is very common in New York’s Little Italy but may be new to you—come ready to enjoy the ride! · All members of your party will be served our Family Style Menu, with no substitutions or special requests permitted. · Dishes are presented to the table for everyone to share. · Cooking for larger steaks may take up to 40 minutes. · Seating for large groups is limited to 90 minutes, in order to allow time for us to reset for the next guests. “We had a wonderful experience at Jack’s Chophouse. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. My favorite dish was definitely the stuffed mushrooms—they were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The French onion soup was also outstanding, and the sides were excellent. The only recommendation I would make is regarding the steak temperature. We ordered it medium, but because the plate was extremely hot, the steak continued cooking after it was served and ended up closer to medium-well. As a result, it was a bit chewier than expected. A medium steak is usually more tender and soft. Other than that, everything was fantastic. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was elegant, and we would definitely come back.”

“We had the pleasure of Ms Megan for our server. She was energetic, informative, knowledgeable, friendly, and checked in on us frequently. The Cesar salad was great and croutons were the size of a dinner roll and so delicious. We ordered the NY strip steak medium rare with roasted garlic potato’s. Both were loaded with garlic and rosemary. Then dessert was deconstructed tiramisu and also banana’s foster cheesecake. Both were to die for. This is a high end steak house. Worthy of high praise!”

We went to celebrate our engagement/ anniversary, Sandy was so bubbly and took amazing care of us the entire night!”

“Wife and I celebrated our anniversary early since next week we'll be working during it. Made the reservation a month ago and the process was smooth. We checked in 15 minutes early (to be prompt and also we were hungry) and they were able to seat us. Megan was our server and was awesome, polite, attentive and friendly. Wife got the Filet and I got the Ribeye and we got the potatoes au gratin and roasted carrots. Everything from the food to the service and atmosphere were perfect and we were very happy to have the opportunity to eat here. We didn't get dessert as we were very full but will have to try another time!”

“We came as a party of five to celebrate our adult son’s birthday. Our daughter and SiL live in town and she thought she made Reservation for Saturday night. She did not complete the steps on the email reservation! But they ways able to accommodate our party in the patio! The fall weather was perfect and the staff was so attentive! We started with bread and they made a tableside dipping sauce with olive oil, oil, fresh garlic, and balsamic. Portions are large so we shared an Italian house salad, New York strip, a ribeye, candied Brussel sprouts and their famous potato hash casserole. We also ordered the tableside tiramisu and they brought out a banana fosters cheesecake with a sparkler on top to celebrate our son‘s birthday. It was a wonderful celebration. We are so thankful that the staff accommodated our group with the reservation that we thought we had made.”
