“I flew in to seattle from Los Angeles to visit relatives and they had arranged a dinner at Bar Del Corso for 12 of us. I have never taken the time to review a restaurant before, but I felt compelled to do so because of the extraordinary quality of the food, service and ambiance of this charming neighborhood eatery- which I get the sense is a hidden gem loved by locals. The food was delicious in every way, and I ate so many appetizer specials and Italian dishes that had such a burst of flavor and uniqueness of subtle ingredients that it made me feel like I’ve never tasted the full potential of things like meatballs or vegetables before… the closest things that I remember was from my travels in Italy. The pizza was so light and airy that we couldn’t stop eating slice after slice, and the meal capped off by homemade tiramisu, homemade strawberry ice cream that bursted with fresh flavor like you’ve never tired ice cream before. Our server Arthur and his team were spectacular and the head chef Mako came out to talk with us as we sang his praises. Don’t miss this place if you visit Seattle- you will not regret it! PS we did not wait for a table because we had advance reservations, which I would recommend because many people were waiting outside!”
“Excellent food! We got the burrata and squash, fried risotto balls, the special Alpini pizza and the rhubarb polenta cake and loved every single bite. The servers were all very nice as well. Surprisingly packed on a late Wednesday evening, so definitely recommend a reservation.”
“We really enjoyed our dinner at Bar del Corso. The drinks and appetizers were great. The bread was delicious. Pizza was ok, but the bottom of the crust was a bit too burnt for my liking. We were sitting outside and the atmosphere was great. Overall we'll definitely come back.”
“Food was good! Ordered several small plates, two pizzas and dessert. Service was fine though not particularly warm/outstanding. One thing that was disappointing was the addition of a 3% "Operational Fee" when I received the check. I double checked the fine print on the menu and my reservation notice online. Not disclosed in either location. Noted on the check is that the "Operational Fee" is kept by the establishment and NOT part of gratuity for service. Also noted that the recommended gratuity is on the post tax and "Operational Fee" amount. I asked if the "Operational Fee" is optional or can be waived if the bill is paid in cash. Response was no and that he "just prints the receipts". I am fine with paying a higher price for outstanding food/service/ambiance. However, Bar del Corso needs to do a better job of disclosing any additional fees upfront.”
“Had heard really good things about Bar del Corso so we finally got to check it out. Ordered a seasonal dish with pancetta and peas which was really good. Sat at the bar and all the chefs were locked in on what they were pumping out — would definitely come back just for the kitchen dishes. Got two pizzas, the salame and funghi. Funghi was the better of the two but honestly both kinda fell short. Crust is thin and floppy with way too much bitter char flavor. The dough itself doesn’t really have much going on. Cheese barely comes through on either and the tomato is basically nonexistent on the salame. Pretty disappointed with the pizza overall but the service was great and that appetizer was a highlight.”
