The attention with small details makes the difference for the experience. Dessert was the best part of the de meal. Very well recommended place for a celebration, business or a more refined date.”

“Impeccable professional, warm & friendly service; superb well cooked Sunday roast in an elegantly designed dining room with a live jazz band on a beautiful afternoon truly made my husband’s 60th birthday special & memorable! We had an excellent experience from being welcomed at the door to being served by Andres & Viola throughout. We’ve not had prawn cocktail for years but decided to give it a try & it was made really well with a slight kick of wasabi in the dressing. The pork & pistachio pie with a selection of pickles & mustard was quintessentially English & made well too. Our mains were a sirloin roast & roasted hake and all the accompanying roasted vegetables, crispy Yorkshire puddings & crackling potatoes. We had the dessert of an English wildflower cream with madeleines. The team sang a birthday song with a little sweet surprise for my husband at the end. All in all - we had a superb afternoon & kudos to the restaurant team for your excellent service & hospitality. As a Bonvoy member, this is probably one of the better hotel restaurants I’ve been to. Highly recommended!”

“We hadn't been for almost 8 years, and with some restaurants you fear they become tired or let standards slip. Not the case here. You come for the spectacular setting, which is unlike any other restaurant in London, and you stay for the delicious food and attentive service. We had the pre theatre menu. On its face the dishes looked like standard options, but the way they prepare the food shows the attention to detail in the kitchen. This place continues to amaze in every aspect.”

“It’s such an experience and I would recommend. The staff, service and ambience are 11/10- it’s an iconic venue and timeless. For me- the food doesn’t stand out as top class to follow this. It’s very good don’t get me wrong (and we had the early bird menu so we didn’t get the full choice of the menu and the value for the food menu is good) but I just couldn’t give it 5*. I was also quite shocked at the £21 margarita when the specialist cocktails were cheaper. Go for the experience and expect to spend to enjoy yourself.”
