“We had a very enjoyable dinner at Boat House Waterfront Dining and, overall, left impressed with both the food and the beautiful waterfront setting. The location is hard to beat, with well-maintained grounds, Adirondack chairs overlooking the water, and a clean dock for guests arriving by boat. It made for a relaxing atmosphere before we even walked inside. We started with the local oysters and the Hall of Fame Chowder. The oysters were fresh, cold, and delicious. The chowder was outstanding—rich and creamy, with the chorizo adding just the right amount of spice and the cornbread crumble giving it a nice crunch. For our entrées, we ordered the Caribbean Jerk Rubbed Tuna and the Cioppino. The tuna was cooked perfectly rare and paired well with the pineapple salsa and avocado mousse. The cioppino came with a generous assortment of seafood in a flavorful broth. Unfortunately, my guest found a hair in the dish shortly after she began eating. We notified our server, who immediately apologized and had a fresh entrée prepared without hesitation. The replacement was excellent, and we appreciated how quickly the issue was handled. We finished with the Mocha Roulade, which was rich without being overly sweet and was a perfect ending to the meal. As a thoughtful gesture, the restaurant removed the dessert from our bill because of the issue with the cioppino, which we felt was a professional way to address the situation. Service throughout the evening was friendly and attentive, and the staff handled the one problem we encountered very well. While no restaurant is perfect, it’s how they respond when something goes wrong that often leaves the biggest impression. Thanks to the excellent food, beautiful setting, and responsive service, we would happily return and recommend Boat House Waterfront Dining to anyone looking for fresh seafood with a great waterfront view.”
“A beautiful spot on the Sakonnet River, which has a good size bar along with indoor and out door dining. The views are outstanding and they even have several Adirondack chairs outside facing the river. The place gets packed very quickly and loud. Reservations are advised. We went on a Friday afternoon. Service was spot on during our entire dinning experience (thx Avery S). The drinks came out promptly as we looked over the menu. I was surprised that they only had one special which was a salad. We each ordered an appetizer. The fried calamari was a little different- it had deep fried jalapeños and hot red peppers. It was very tasty. I ordered the seafood tower. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and probably u10/12. The cherrystones were the ideal size but were not shucked properly ( not completely cut on the bottom to separate from the shell). And the oysters must have been farm raised because they were very small but tasty. For the entrees we ordered the ribeye medium rare and the vegan option of artichoke hearts with beans and asparagus. I added shrimp to it for more protein. Both were delicious and big enough portions to have leftovers. Definitely a place to return to again.”
“This is one of my most favorite restaurants on the East Coast. I love Rhode Island. The hostess Avery is so wonderful! The food is delicious. The staff is amazing. They go out of their way to make each occasion special.”

“As always, prompt service at the hostess desk set the tone right away. Timmy B was our server and immediately introduced himself and went over the nightly specials. He’s extremely knowledgeable about both the menu and the wine list, which made ordering easy and enjoyable. The food was great, and overall it was an excellent dining experience. We’ll definitely be back”
