“Fantastic collection of wine and amazing Italian food. Ambience and atmosphere were such a treat. Must visit if you're in Napa!”
“This restaurant serves excellent Italian food and has a charming ambience. The service was friendly and professional. Moreover it was my daughter’s graduation and they also gave a dessert platter on the house. Very nice experience.”
“The staff was very kind, and the atmosphere was lively and energetic—I really enjoyed that part of the experience. However, I had some doubts about the food quality, as I expected a bit more. The polpo was too salty, and the sauces didn't complement the octopus very well. The bread sauce was good, but the bread itself was just okay. The branzino was decent, but again, the sauce didn't quite work for me. The pasta noodles were well cooked and had a nice texture, but the sauce was underwhelming, similar to the other dishes. Overall, the service and atmosphere were excellent, but the food didn't quite meet my expectations. Kiwi drink was good, but not exceptional.”
“Walking into Bottega for dinner, the first thing that hits you is the gorgeous ambiance. The interior has this perfect upscale rustic feel, with moody dim lighting, historic brick, and massive timber beams that make the whole room feel elevated and stylish. Unfortunately, the main courses were a bit of a mixed bag. The Wagyu steak and cacio e pepe pasta were cooked perfectly—the meat was beautifully tender—but both elements lacked the deep, punchy flavor you expect from these dishes. They were good, just not great. Luckily, dinner ended on a high note; the chocolate lava cake dessert was absolutely delicious. Service followed a similar pattern. While the sommelier was incredibly helpful with our wine selection, our primary waiter, though quick, felt noticeably distracted throughout the evening. It’s a stunning venue with a great wine team, but the execution on the plate didn't quite live up to the spectacular surroundings.”
“We recently dined at Bottega in Napa, and overall it was a memorable experience with a few highs and lows. We started with the fried risotto balls — eh. The Brussels sprouts salad had great flavor, but I wasn’t a fan of the fact that the sprouts were raw. For entrées, the Rabbit Rigatoni had incredible flavor — rich, savory, and comforting — but the pasta itself was way too al dente, almost crunchy. On the other hand, the short ribs completely stole the show! They were tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection — truly the highlight of the night. Desserts were a bit of a mixed bag. The basil panna cotta was interesting but just okay. The tiramisu unfortunately missed the mark, but the chocolate donuts were an absolute hit — warm, rich, and perfectly sweet to end the meal on a high note. Great cocktails wine corkage is $50/bottle.”
