“We were in town for a birthday dinner, sat along the windows with glorious views of the ocean. Service was so friendly and prompt. Thanks Tim and the lovely ladies for the wonderful service. Huge shout out to the kitchen staff for the delicious meal. The complimentary bread, olive oil and olives were an excellent start to our meal. The four seed brown bread was so good, I almost asked for the recipe. I’ll just come back more often. We had raw oysters as our appetizers which were creamy and fresh. Super delicious. The lamb shank was so delicious, tender, fall off the bone, served with mashed potatoes with a whole sprig of rosemary - absolutely delightful. The fish of the day was the wild salmon with basil butter and olive butter, served over mashed potatoes, green beans and broccolini. Divine. Dessert was an apple tartin. Best meal of the trip. Thanks for the scrumptious birthday dinner!”
“Can’t say enough good things about Ledford. From the ambience and beautiful vibes to the incredibly delicious food, everything was perfect. The service was absolutely fantastic—so warm and inviting. We celebrated our 5th anniversary and they surprised us with champagne, which made the evening feel even more special. Such a classy place. It truly has my heart, and we’ll definitely be back.”
“Went to Ledford House on our final night on the coast and it was a highlight of the trip. I had the Bistro Special which is a daily 3 course meal which changes every day. The fish cakes were delicious and I also enjoyed the roasted beets salad.”
“My wife and I have been to many fancy restaurants, but this one takes the cake. As soon as we walk in, they wished us a happy anniversary and sat us in one of the best seats available, at an ocean view window table. In addition, they offered us complimentary champagne 🥂 for our anniversary. Tim was our waiter and he was one cool guy. We had a blast with him and he was always attentive and made sure we we're full satisfied. The food was incredible. We had potato arugula soup, potato parsnip pot pie, a vegetarian tart, potato gnocchi, broccolini, bread, desert and amazing drinks. I highly recommend the Espresso Martini. As vegetarians we were highly satisfied with our meals. If I could, I'd rate Ledford a 10/10. Thank you for making our anniversary so special and a night to remember for the rest of our lives. Tim, we hope to see you again next time we come!!!”
“This is a specific review on a single experience and is in no way reflective of previous ones I have had in the past. The Ledford House is magnificent. This is a tale of an unqualified bartender. My wife and I stopped in on a Thursday night and the joint was packed. I was ecstatic to see it because I want this place to remain open forever, and I know the difficulties of keeping small places going, spending much of my younger days bartending in similar restaurants. We had no expectation of dinner, just a couple of cocktails, and we felt privileged to get seats on the periphery of the main bar. We were just grateful we were allowed in on such a busy night without reservations. Seeing that the bartender was slammed (and I know intimately what that's like after 20 years in the business), I went to the service station to order, not wanting to burden the staff. Once there, I waited for the bartender to finish placing an order on the computer. When she was ready, without looking up, in an obviously irritated voice, she asked what she could get me. Now, all my years working busy food establishments I learned not everyone can handle the pressure of a busy night, and she was a prime example, making it obvious through her tone that my presence was not wanted, but I was sympathetic and tried to make it simple and quick. An important note I haven't mentioned is this was my wife and mine's 30th wedding anniversary, and we made the pilgrimage to celebrate in our special place, so I bucked up and waited patiently, with a smile until she was able to get our cocktails She grabbed my beer fairly quickly, but I had to wait for a bathroom break, some complaining about how hard the job is tonight to a waitress, and being told there were other drinks in before mine before she was finally able to complete the order, but no worries. I don't mind waiting, and I get the pressure more than most, but being rude, throwing attitude, and making me feel like a problem for being a customer never falls under the definition of hospitality. Isn't that why most of us return to a place over and over? Because we feel welcomed? Part of me wanted to ask her to have a seat, so I could catch her up and get the flow going, but it's her job, and her shift, and, ultimately, her money to make, which would appear to be substantial, if she could stay professional. Finally, we got our drinks, and enjoyed them outside with the most majestic sunset over the horizon. Feeling a bit better, and wanting to not be burdensome, I bussed our table, and returned them to the bar, thanking her. She responded with the same biting tone thanking me for the dirty glasses.”
