Ironbound Farm is an American restaurant in the Rural neighborhood of Asbury.
“A very comfortable vibe. Had the meat plate that was very tasty, paired that with a Iron Bound flight. Followed next with the mushroom rice dish and thier signature sangria. Overall experience was marvelous.”
“Amazing experience! Food was delicious & we tried a bunch of flights and tastings, and some other cocktails - all were exceptional. Lisa was very informative & we also got a chance to meet the owner, Charles, who was not only passionate about his business (& his model) he was so knowledgeable & friendly. What a great way to spend a Sunday! We will be back and will definitely check out the Montclair location as well!”
“Nice large venue. Tried the cider flight and it was very good. The pulled pork sandwich was excellent and the Mac and cheese was good. I didn't care for the cornbread, but everything was well-made. I would definitely try more dishes. The panna cotta was delicious! Got caught by a storm which drove the outside music inside where we were. Solo singer was great, though the inside space was very acoustic and it became a bit hard to hear people at the table. Service was so friendly too!”
“3.5 would be a better rating. Worth a revisit, but with knowing the downsides of the food menu. The buffalo cauliflower was too soupy with sauce and clearly not cooked long enough, and served at room temp. The breakfast burrito without bacon was lukewarm, mostly potato, not enough eggs, and had to search for the cheddar. No hot sauce on the table or offered when asked. The Mac and cheese was hot and tasty. The ciders were good, and our clear favorite was the gooseberry ginger, only offered in cans. Service was friendly, atmosphere was good, and the outdoor seating was nice.”
“We drove over an hour to visit Ironbound, excited for a relaxing afternoon of cider, fresh air, and farm charm. The property itself is lovely—beautiful scenery, friendly goats and chickens, and a peaceful countryside setting that feels like a welcome escape from the city. While the ciders were served quickly and were enjoyable, the overall experience was disappointing. After waiting about 30 minutes in line, we were told the food would take roughly an hour, but it ended up taking nearly two hours. Unfortunately, most of our visit was spent waiting rather than enjoying the farm. There were also a few moments where guest experience could have been better managed, including a child repeatedly blowing bubbles into the seating area and near guests’ drinks. Ironbound has so much potential and all the ingredients for a wonderful day out. With better management of food wait times and a bit more attention to the overall guest experience, it could truly be a special destination.”
