“Food portions are generous and tasty. GREAT oysters. Got the fish tacos and fish n chips. They came out hot and we had leftovers. Their blueberry soda is also delicious. Server was sweet and knowledgeable about the menu while answering our questions. We got there around 6 pm and were able to get a table in 15 min without reservation. Clean bathrooms.”

“Excellent choice for seafood. We had the little corn muffins with maple butter, lobster queso, clam chowder, Connecticut lobster roll and the halibut. We enjoyed it all and would recommend each one. Service was incredibly fast and courteous.”

“finally made it to Ford’s Fish Shack, and I have to say, the recommendations were spot on. We went on a Saturday night and it wasn’t crowded at all; we had a reservation, but it didn't look like we actually needed one. Our server, Sofia, was great. She was super attentive, always checked in on us, and gave us some really solid tips for our appetizers and entrees. We started with a dozen oysters from three different locations. I’m no expert, but I really enjoyed them—they tasted just like the beach! My wife ordered the Maine seafood basket, and the seafood was delicious and perfectly crunchy. I’m definitely getting that next time. I went with three lobster tails (one fried, two grilled), and they were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. That butter sauce is amazing. I’m already looking forward to going back. I can’t believe it took me this long to finally try it!”

“A bit crowded on a Saturday night, but online they had all reservation times available. First time dining here. We got a friendly greeting when we arrived and we were seated promptly. Our server had a lot of energy and let us know what the specials were. We ordered the appetizer special which was lobster queso and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! They really need to add this to their regular menu!!!! We also had the seafood basket with scallops and shrimp and that was pretty good. They didn't have ranch dressing for the fries; they had tarragon buttermilk dressing instead. Honestly, that was better than ranch! The cole slaw needed seasoning, but wasn't bad once you add a little salt and pepper. Also ordered the lobster Cobb salad. It was good but a little on the pricey side. I didn't feel like the champagne vinaigrette was the right dressing for that salad. It didn't ruin the salad or anything, it just felt like a mismatch for me. A creamy dressing like blue cheese or the tarragon buttermilk felt more appropriate. For dessert, we shared the creme brulee which was quite good. The server checked on us pretty regularly which we appreciated. Very enjoyable experience overall and I would come back again!”

“Ford’s Fish Shack is a popular seafood spot in Ashburn, and reservations are definitely recommended. They couldn’t find our reservation at first, but still worked with us and got us a table, which I appreciated. Service was friendly throughout. The food was okay for me, though seafood lovers will probably enjoy it more. Many people come here for oysters and fish specials, especially on weekends. Just make sure your reservation is confirmed and give yourself some buffer time if it’s busy.”
