“We visited Georgia Boy on a Thursday evening and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we stepped through the hidden bookcase inside Southern Belle, it felt like we were entering a secret world — such a fun speakeasy vibe that immediately set the tone for the evening. The entire experience was multisensory and beautifully curated. Every dish was crafted with high-quality ingredients and presented with so much intention and thoughtfulness. I loved getting to try flavors and combinations I had never experienced before — it felt adventurous yet perfectly balanced. I paired my meal with the mocktail pairings, and they were just as impressive as the food. Each one complemented the courses so well and was delicious on its own. They did a great job at honoring our no pork request. If you’re looking for a unique, elevated dining experience for a special occasion, Georgia Boy absolutely delivers. We loved every moment of it.”
“We had the pleasure of dining here last night, and from the moment we walked through the door, the experience began! My husband had no idea what he was in for, and needless to say — he was blown away. The service, presentation, and menu selection were all top-notch — truly A1. Every dish we tried was exceptional, and the wine pairing was the perfect complement to the meal. They also paid close attention to our allergy restrictions, offering thoughtful and delicious alternatives without compromising flavor or presentation. That level of care truly stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s absolutely worth the price point for the quality and attention to detail. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!!!!!!”
“So interactive!!! I came here for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Everything was so intentionally done, and even the dish that wasn't my favorite still managed to combine flavors meshed very well. There is a little twist about the experience.I won't spoil it for you, but it definitely boosted the brownie points for this place for me. The shoutout to Buford Hwy restaurants was very thoughtful and inspired me to continue to try more places and different kinds of cuisines. Oh, and their NA drinks are delicious! Do yourself a solid and go to Georgia Boy.”
“I don’t even know where to begin. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by warm lighting and an inviting staff that sets the stage for an unforgettable evening. We were escorted to a cozy waiting area where we mingled with other guests, all eagerly anticipating what turned out to be a mind-blowing culinary experience. While we waited for our seating, I was handed a glass of champagne and presented with a beautifully curated cocktail menu — each drink showcasing exquisite craftsmanship and thoughtfully chosen ingredients. I knew right then that this dinner was going to be special, and my taste buds were ready. Our waitress soon guided us to a private dining room — warm, intimate, and tastefully decorated to reflect the chef’s inspirations. Each detail felt intentional, building excitement for what was to come. I won’t spoil the incredible journey that awaits you, but trust me when I say this was the best dining experience I’ve ever had. Every dish felt like a masterpiece — as if we were witnessing a “Top Chef” challenge where no one could possibly be eliminated. Chef Ward and his team have truly elevated Atlanta fine dining. Each ingredient was thoughtfully chosen and expertly prepared, with techniques that elevated the flavors to absolute perfection. I highly recommend opting for the wine pairing — it’s just as meticulously crafted as the courses themselves. Every sip and every bite worked in perfect harmony, making this experience an unforgettable 100/10.”
“The restaurant bills itself as a private fine dining chef’s table experience where you get to explore the culinary whimsy of chef Joey right in his kitchen. This is not entirely accurate. None of the food is cooked while you wait. It is plated and finished after you are seated. So, unfortunately none of the food is fresh. The “hot” dishes are served lukewarm and are far outnumbered by the cold dishes (I think for this reason). Additionally, at this price point EVERYTHING should be delicious. Unfortunately, hot dog flavored ice cream and bouillabaisse seasoned almond milk over cereal is just not appetizing. It was definitely a case of form of function, or rather whimsy over edible. At times there were so many components to each dish, the flavor profiles were either overwhelming or did not mesh well. But, despite the disappointment in the food, the most unconscionable part of the evening is the speed at which we were rushed through the meal and out of the restaurant. They say that they have two seatings of eight each night. This is not true. We were the first table of eight for the evening. Halfway through our meal a second table of eight was sad. They were incredibly loud and drunk, and it was difficult to enjoy our experience. Then, at the end of the meal, before we had even finished our drinks, we were told that we could take our drinks to the city area and ushered out. When we asked why we couldn’t finish our drinks at the table, we were told that there were more guest waiting to be seated after us. I think this is why they cannot cook the food fresh. If you were seating, four tables of eight people a night, for 16 courses, you cannot cook the food fresh. But, that is not how they present themselves in their literature Additionally, on the website, it says that the $300 per person meal is inclusive of everything except for the drinks. It states that no gratuity is expected. However, when we left, we were presented with a gratuity option. Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing culinary experience. I simply cannot believe that they get so many five star reviews. For four people, our Bill was $1338. The quality of the food, the lack of fresh food, and being rushed through the experience, did not warrant that type of price point”
