“This is a no/nonsense place. If you are looking for pretty presented plates with lots of visual details, you will be disappointed. If you are looking for food that is high quality, complex and surprising till the last bite, you just found it. The interior of the restaurant is plain, with the stainless steel kitchen in full view. The recipes are well thought out, delicious and nutritious. The waiter was very communicative and down to earth. The wine was superb. I am wowed.”

“I had a wonderful experience at Tesoro this evening - fantastic service and delicious food. For a while people have been suggesting I try this Carrboro restaurant, and I'm thankful I finally listened. The arancini was crunchy on the outside, and soft and cheesey on the inside, served on top of a flavorful, light tomato sauce. The rigatoni, of my main dish, was perfectly cooked and the cacio e pepe style sauce was balanced and full of flavor - expertly constructed . I could have eaten another plate, but was instead thrilled with a moist olive oil cake. The waitress I had, and all the staff were exceptional in every way - thanks. I can't wait to return.”

“the atmosphere was pretty small and chill. reminds me of a speak easy. the staff was great. very conversational and respectful. the menu here rotates so you know the food is fresh. the food was really good too, but overpriced in my opinion. if you go here definitely try the focaccia if it's on the menu”
