Doar Bros. is a Cocktail Bar restaurant in the Historic Downtown neighborhood of Charleston.
“Doar Bros is true to its current rating of 4.9⭐ Be sure to make a reservation in advance as space is limited and their establishment is highly frequented. La Chinesca was by far my favorite as it was balanced in almost all flavor profiles & truly represents the Spring rotation. Slightly smoky from the Mezcal(s), fruity but not overly sweet with cantaloupe being ideal, more than average kick of spice from the Szechuan-tajin on the rim, slight acidity from the lime, and a FRESH herb forward dominance from the cilantro, mint, and deseeded jalapeno. Although they serve some food such as caviar, mussels, shrimps, brown butter popcorn, and cured meats with artisanal bread - we didn't eat therefore my review doesn't account for their eats. Cocktails ordered on the Spring '26 Cocktail Menu ($16): "Bazaar Familia" - Afghan Black Cumin Seed Infused Union Mezcal, Chinola Mango Liquor, Coriander-Coconut Cordial, and Lemon Juice. "La Chinesca" - Vago Manantial Mezcal, Union Mezcal, Midori, Cilantro, Mint, Cantaloupe, Deseeded Jalapeno, Szechuan Peppercorn, Agave, and Lime. "You Just Fold It In" - Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, Aperol, Nonino Amaro, Zucca Rabarbaro, Strawberry & Lemon Oleo, Cream Cheese Foam. "Bourbon & Clyde" - Woodford Bourbon, Green Chartreuse, Fernet Branca, Vanilla Bean, Egg White Orange Foam, and garnished with Pistachio. The Bourbon & Clyde was bitter & botanically forward as you would expect with Fernet and Green Chartreuse. I was impressed as they converged with the thick creamy orange foam and the rich nuttiness from the crushed pistachios. They certainly pulled it back away from being overwhelmingly "medicinal" as some may typically shy away from. My only deduction to my review comes from the Bazaar Familia cocktail. It without a doubt earns my kudos for creativity, but the drink was predominantly subdued by its cumin infusion. It was difficult to taste any of the other components. Wetting the dehydrated lemon wedge helped a tad but I was itching for a little bit more lemon juice to dilute the cumin dominance. My taste is completely subjective and perhaps I fall short to my taste memory recognition with cumin (embarrassed to say that would be taco seasoning packets as a kid). I do feel others may enjoy a different experience with this cocktail as they potentially perceive a deeper complexity. I'm just unfortunately not there yet and sense a need for more acidity from the lemon juice, or sweetness from the mango liquer, or potentially a pivot to incorporating coconut cream or cinnamon. It's hard to knock in totality as it truly intrigued me. Service by Jacob and contributing staff was exceptional! Their bar program clearly exhibited creativity and complexity you'll never find duplicated elsewhere. Plenty of nods to modern & classic cocktails with the ability to make your tried-and-true favorites in Doar Bros fashion. One of the best craft cocktail bars in Charleston.”
“Doar Brothers has completely changed the cocktail game in Charleston. Their Italian Nights are hands down one of the best experiences in the city — incredible atmosphere… world class drinks… and a team that genuinely cares about raising the bar in hospitality. Johnathon, Jacob, Jake, and the entire crew operate on another level. The bartenders have a ridiculous depth of knowledge and creativity behind the bar. IMO true “200 IQ” cocktail minds that somehow still make everything feel approachable and fun. They’re not just serving drinks, they’re elevating Charleston’s entire cocktail scene. Every visit feels intentional, polished, and unforgettable. Easily 5 stars.”

Service was just as impressive friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely welcoming. The team made us feel taken care of from start to finish. Food, service, atmosphere all five stars. Doar Bros. isn’t just a spot to grab a drink; it’s a place you want to linger and enjoy. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!”
“Love the concept of this place. My friend and I were looking for a place to get cocktails and she found this place. Wonderful creative drinks! My friend tried a new drink and loved it. I had my old standby drink and loved it. We followed up with bread pudding - so delicious! The ambience was wonderful with dark moody walls. Loved it.”
