“Amazing food. We had raw oysters, baked oysters, and the shrimp & grits. Our server was amazing. We sat at the bar and watched them shucks our oysters. Cocktails were so good. Food was very good. Service was amazing. It is very busy, so I highly recommend a reservation. The only issue I had is just how loud it is in there. Not a place for intimate conversations.”

“The Darling Oyster Bar delivered across the board. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and the service was great. Everything just clicked. The oysters were fantastic, especially being able to order singles and try different options. The king crab was already opened and ready to enjoy, which made it even better. One unexpected surprise was the burger, which absolutely held its own alongside the seafood. Just an all around great experience and definitely worth a stop in Charleston!”

“This may be the best restaurant we have been to since moving to SC 6 years ago. The esthetic is perfect. Eveything from the decor to the floor was stunning. The service was top tier. Our server Dave was great. He had the best balance of attentiveness and allowing us space to enjoy our date night. We started with the James river, the Port Royal Wilds and the Low Country Cup oysters. So good! Drinks were amazing too. He got the scallops and I got the mussels. Both were absolute perfection. We ended the meal splitting the key lime pie. It was delicious. It is popular so I recomment reservations. This is a must try if you are in the area. We are already planning to go back in June when we are in Charleston again.”

“We had such a great dinner at The Darling Oyster Bar! Our server Zach was awesome and made our experience even more enjoyable! We started with a variety of Oysters which came with a great mignonette and their house hot sauce! We also had the baked crab dip which was creamy and delicious! We then split the seared diced scallops and the blue crab tagliatelle! They split the portion of pasta into 2 bowls for us which I really appreciated! We loved both entrees and they were both so flavorful! We finished off with the S’mores dessert which was a chocolate mousse with a graham cracker crumble and a torched marshmallow topping! So good!! We also enjoyed our cocktails and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal and great service! Thank you again Zach!”

“Absolutely the best oysters we’ve had! Loved the small Breakwater and ROBERT'S COVE oysters. Note they don’t have $1 happy hour as AI and Google promotes. It’s $1 off only on James River oysters. Great espresso and regular martinis. Also very good blue cheese hand stuffed olives. I wish they would answer their phone, it would have helped with happy hour expectations or at least more transparency on their website. But overall had a great time and would like to try more items on the menu next time as this was a pit stop before dinner down the street.”
