“⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ - A Five Star Must! If you make one reservation in Sullivan’s Island, make sure it’s Obstinate Daughter! The star of the show was the Peach Salad which was prepared with diced peaches served with a lemon whipped ricotta, tomatoes, basil, and almonds. It was so good we came back the next day to have it!! We also enjoyed the local salad which was fresh lettuce, home-made crotons, parmesan, hard-boiled egg, served in a buttermilk vinaigrette. Next were the CARBS! A red and white pizza prepared how we wanted. First, we asked to combine the “Moultrie” and “Miss Carolina” which was essentially green tomatoes and pepperoni on a red sauce - hold the mushrooms and it was top notch! The crust was perfectly cooked with a light char. We also had the “Rutledge” which was a white sauce with italian sausage and red onion. Also excellent!🤌 Lastly our kids enjoyed the “Radiatore” which was cooked in an alla vodka sauce with ricotta. Fun fact the pasta is meant to resemble old car radiators! 🚘 The pasta was cooked to perfection and stayed warm throughout the meal. The adult bevs were also on point although slightly overpriced. A small price to pay for such an excellent meal, literally. Obstinate Daughter-thank you we will be back!!! Fun fact: Obstinate Daughter gets its name from an old British Political Cartoon that referenced South Carolina and Sullivan’s Island as one of America’s Obstinate Daughters after the British were foiled in an attack during the revolutionary war in 1776.”
“We did have quite a wait but I guess you know if you want something good it's worth waiting for! Of course you can order drinks and sip on your mimosa while you wait but this food I'm telling you everywhere we've gone on this trip. It just keeps getting better I had the pepperoni pizza and my husband had pasta so we could share! I can't decide which I liked better! Sara what's our waitress? She was very pleasant. Great service! Absolutely amazing food I just can't see enough good things.”
“So glad we stopped here. We did not have a reservation but sat at the bar around 4:50pm. There was no wait. This was such great food and drinks. Frank and Lori at the bar were very attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered the shrimp roll, the Radiatore pasta (all pastas made in house), and the old danger pizza (Frank’s recommendation). All these were so good that we couldn’t pick a favorite.”
“Make sure to get a reservation ahead of time because this place is very popular. The ambiance inside is great. It’s dimly lit but still buzzing with energy, which makes it feel lively without being overwhelming. The vodka pasta was amazing and probably the best I’ve had. The pizza was just okay for us, but we ordered one of the more unique combinations, so that may have been part of it. Even so, I still highly recommend making the trip out to Sullivan’s Island for this spot. It definitely lived up to the hype.”
“We were able to get a table on a Friday night at Obstinate Daughter after a 30 minute wait, so we were excited to try this popular restaurant. The restaurant is cozy, has a good ambiance and feels familiar. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. We had two items we saw on social media and one special, the Brocollini. The broccolini was my favorite followed closely by the Radiatore (Vodka pasta). I will the pasta lived up to its hype. The Old Danger pizza was good but nothing super memorable. The drinks were also good. Overall, great experience.”
