Nola's is an American restaurant in the Clinton neighborhood of Clinton.
“Food was incredible and I say this as a city person traveling upstate for work. The menu was appropriately limited so that every dish is intentional and perfectly crafted. The waitress was definitely aiming to please, but seemed a little bit young and aloof at points. Also, toward the end of our meal, they did it seem to try and rush us out a bit and try to pack our food while we were still in the middle of eating it or at least offered to do so. This was somewhat to be expected because we came in early without a reservation on the restaurant was filling up. Overall, that atmosphere was pretty great, except there were a few decor items which clearly came from HomeGoods and were a bit passé, including a wooden sculpture that said the word “believe.” I had the steak, medium rare and it was cooked exactly perfect perfectly. We had fried queso which was paired with an incredible compote that somehow had hazelnuts in it. It didn’t sound like it would work, but it did. The dessert was the best bread pudding I’ve ever had in my life. my friend had a crème brûlée garnished with fresh fruit that was really wonderful and had a nice shell there were lots of plants and the cocktails were incredible. I had the signature of cocktail called “stay off the grass” and asked them to omit the simple syrup and I think it was perfect that way. One recommendation I would make is that they should get an espresso machine. Online I thought I saw pictures of espresso martinis but when I asked for an after dinner espresso, they said they couldn’t make that and they only had coffee. I don’t know if the waitress was young and confused or if maybe they make espresso martinis out of some sort of concentrate or maybe I hallucinated the espresso martini I thought I saw, but in any event adding espresso to a nice restaurant is always going to be advantageous. Regarding price, I’m going to select between 70 and 80 per person, but we did have appetizers, entrées, cocktails, dessert, desserts, and of course, after dinner or coffee.”
“This was one of the best experiences I've had at any restaurant. My party & I were seated where it felt like a private area. The atmosphere was such a vibe! Service was amazing. The staff were friendly and on point with making sure we were taken care off. I had a non alcoholic beverage that tasted amazing. For appetizers we ordered the cheese board and the Brussels sprouts. Omg, amazing! I ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Steak was cooked to perfection, mashed potatoes were velvety and broccolini was delicious. I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend”
“Went here for Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend. She had a cherry bomb cocktail, I had an athletic NA beer. We split the Brussels sprouts appetizer which was delicious, I had the duck and she had the chicken Nola, both of which were just perfection. We’ll be back for sure ! Total pre tip was $133.”
“Leah always gives me the best table in the restaurant I swear!!! I brought two friends to No One’s Rival for the first “Sunday Sauce” dinner previewing potential menu items for a new restaurant set to open in Hamilton. We all loved our food, the white bean salad & focaccia, espresso gelato, and pavlova with lemon curd and fresh berries were exceptional. The special wine for the Italian night was also amazing and the non-alcoholic spiced apple Moscow Mule was AMAZING. Steph & the rest of the bar team make great cocktails/mocktails year round. Nola’s knows how to get me in the door basically every week with their daily specials and seasonal menu changes. This dinner and their Valentine’s Day dinner (the chocolate fondue specifically) were especially awesome. They know me by my voice when I call to make a reservation & I love their lunch and dinner menu, worth a visit for any occasion.”
“We had an amazing appetizer, amazing mains and an amazing desert…amazing! Loved it and will be going back soon I’m sure. The only thing I didn’t like is the reservation requires a credit card online.”
