Song Lan Restaurant is a Sushi restaurant in the Dublin neighborhood of Dublin.
“The sushi here was fresh and well-prepared, with a great balance of flavors. I especially enjoyed the specialty rolls—they were creative and delicious. The restaurant had a clean and relaxing atmosphere, and the service was fast and professional. Prices are reasonable for the quality. I would definitely come back again.”
“I visited Song Ran Sushi last night and had a wonderful dining experience. We ordered the sushi–sashimi combo boat (around $90), which came with two popular rolls—the Dragon Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll—along with a variety of fresh sashimi and delicious nigiri (fish over rice). Some of the sashimi selections were imported from Japan, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The fish had no fishy taste at all—just clean, delicate flavors—and the nigiri was served at the perfect temperature. The sushi truly melted in my mouth. Our server, Ashton, was outstanding. He was super friendly and impressively knowledgeable about the entire menu. His recommendations and explanations were spot-on, and he checked on us with perfect timing without ever interrupting the meal. His dessert recommendation—the raspberry cheesecake—was absolutely fantastic and the perfect way to end the meal. As a sushi lover who has visited at least 20 different sushi restaurants across Ohio, I can confidently say this place is one of my top choices. The quality of the fish and the overall dining experience were exceptional. The only downside is the restaurant’s large west-facing windows. During sunset, the sun shines directly into the dining area, and many customers—including us—were shielding their eyes from the glare. I actually had to wear sunglasses throughout the meal. It might help if the restaurant installed blinds or shades during sunset hours to make the dining experience more comfortable. Overall, though, the sushi quality, service, and attention to detail make this place absolutely worth visiting. I’ll definitely be coming back.”
“I visited this place for Valentine’s Day and couldn’t be happier with the choice. Out server was Ashton and he was amazing ! Very professional, engaging, and had a great personality. Ashton recommend so many things that never failed. I enjoyed the love at first sip cocktail for two and the hibachi entree. After lunch we tasted the seasonal dessert which was to die for. The food was absolutely amazing. The portion size was great and the flavor was spot on.”
“Great place for exceptionally fresh and well prepared sushi. The atmosphere is a mix of cozy and modern. The seating seems like it is a little bit of a mix of multiple different styles and can be a little bit confusing. The naturally light is refreshing but also makes for a very very bright environment. The music choice is a little bit rough. Whatever station they had on did not at all seem to set the mood for the nice visual atmosphere they’ve created. The pacing of the food is a little bit sporadic with things coming out as they’re prepared, with a lot of inconsistency in the timing of multiple apps/drinks that were ordered at the same time. The service is friendly and pleasant but not anything to write home about or to leave a lasting impression of the experience. Now the real highlight is the food, specifically the sushi. Unique and extensive menu with absolutely delectable raw fish items prepared beautifully. Some of the most delicious melt-in-your mouth fatty tuna, red snapper, etc. I didn’t think the price was anything crazy for good sushi, a lot of value for your money spent. The also have a nice extensive sake menu and a full bar. Lovely place and am excited to return again.”
“We got seated in the heated patio. It was actually a great temperature. Service was nice. Crab Rangoon tarts: these are like egg tarts but filled with a crab Rangoon filling. The filling is creamy and a little sweet inside a flaky tart shell. Maki combo: The salmon was great and buttery. The yellowtail and tuna didn’t not stand out for me. Unagi don: This is your typical roasted eel on rice bowl with some picked daikon and seaweed salad on top. It did not stand out. But was still good. Green salad and miso soup were both really good. The dressing for the salad tasted fresh. At some places, you only take the miso in the soup. But here, the taste was wonderful deepened with seaweed. Dessert: this is the reason why we came. The dessert gets delivered weekly and is made my Helen’s Heavenly, who also delivers to Song Lan’s sister restaurants. This is a wonderful mousse dessert and this time has a passion fruit reduction. I highly recommend the dessert.”
