“We went to celebrate a birthday, the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful a very nice taste with all the decoration, every single detail was thinking for a reason, our waiter Bruno gave us the best service. all the time asking if the food was good, or if we need a break between the courses. At the end we received a birthday cake. We strongly recommend to go there”

“What a gem! My husband had decided to go for dinner in the area and picked Mama Yo by chance. He had cycled past it a few times and hadn't thought too much of it given its incospicuous exterior. Boy, were we in for a pleasant surprise! The minute we walked in the door and were greeted by the lovely front of house staff and took in the surroundings, we knew this was no "ordinary Chinese". The interior design is quite something, and very spacious. As we hadn't booked, we were sat at a high table opposite the bar which I thought might be a little busy. Far from the truth! While the restaurant filled up very quickly (we arrived at 5), there was never a sense of stress, nobody seemed rushed, and all staff were super friendly. Our server Leonardo was the icing on the cake! Friendly, knowledgeable, always present but never over-bearing. You couldn't ask for better. Now to the food: Everything was freshly prepared (so took a little longer than what you might be used to nowadays), my Peking Duck Spring Rolls and his Salty and Chilly Squid were finger-licking good and made us excited for the main coursej; we were not disappointed. The Sweet & Sour chicken was the best I have had in years, and his Mongolian Fillet Beef was of the same quality. We only skipped dessert because there was no room left to put it, and I am sure that it is also scrumptious. We will be back and promptly made a reservation for my upcoming birthday. Mama Yo is an absolute delight!”

“Had such a delicious lunch here! The food was amazing, especially the crispy sweet and sour chicken, Singapore noodles, Mongolian beef and duck spring rolls. Everything was full of flavour and really fresh. Our server was also very attentive and friendly! The ice cream sundae was fab too! Will definitely be back!”

“Had a brilliant experience with here for a nice valentine's day lunch. Food was extremely tasty, restaurant had a set valentine's day lunch but I was able to order of the gluten free menu as the set valentine's menu did not suit me, staff we very kind and accommodating towards me. Dinner was very tasty and well presented and shrip tasted fresh. Nice and relaxing atmosphere, was interrupted by staff when eating bit still felt like of something was needing I could get their attention. Would definitely come back again and would recommend.”

“Perfect romantic vibes for date night or a special occasion! For two people, we shared an order of dumplings, two mains, and a side or broccoli and it was the perfect amount of food. I highly recommend the broccoli - it was perfect. Main dishes are definitely onto sweeter side if you are into that. Soup dumplings could’ve had more soup in them. They weee super sticky so the wrapper tore easily. I would say that’s a skip for me. Overall, really solid modern Chinese food. I would come again to try their other dishes and check out the desserts!”
