Galanga Thai House is a Thai restaurant in the México D.F. neighborhood of México D.F..
“As an Asian who would travel to Thailand at least once per year, I think the Thai food here is pretty good and the dishes really taste like Thai food but not the kind of “Thai food” adjusted in accordance with the usual flavour commonly accepted by people in this city. It’s super authetic. Love the green curry. It’s creamy, not súper spicy and it’s not salty at all. (please keep it like that, it’s very hard to find non-salty food in this city) Love the spices and herbs being used in every single dishes. I miss Thailand! ❣️”
“This was the best meal we had in Mexico City. The green curry and tom kha were so flavorful and the serving size was excellent. I had one of the best cocktails in Mexico City there also. The ambiance was beautiful and peaceful for a perfect date night. Highly recommended!”
“We half liked our experience. The tom yam soup was authentic and very tasty however the fried rice was a disappointment. First of all it came mildly warm, disassembled and bland. Rice in the center surrounded by other ingredients?? The mango sticky rice dessert was very good. The place is nicely decorated with lots of plants.”
“The food and ambiance here are great. I really enjoyed the decor and the upscale, polished atmosphere—it made the whole experience feel special. While the food was definitely delicious, it was a bit more expensive than I initially expected. That said, the presentation was beautiful and the flavors were spot on. I would especially recommend trying the Thai Iced Tea—it was absolutely fantastic and a standout part of the meal. This is a good spot to try out while in Mexico City. Very walkable area as well, we were able to walk from our place in Condesa.”
“The restaurant is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. The green curry was good, but honestly not much better than my regular Thai place back home that costs half the price. Unfortunately, the noodles were extremely salty and we couldn’t really eat them, although I do appreciate that the staff removed them from the bill. The service was also disappointing. Our waiter never really checked on us or refilled our water, while nearby tables seemed to receive much more attention. We left feeling a bit overlooked. For a Michelin-star restaurant, I expected a higher level of both food quality and service.”
