“From the reservation to the dessert, everything was spectacular! Service was amazing. Our waiter told history of the building ans how it was built. There was a dinner movie playing during dinner. Absolutely stunning place to dine. The food was to die for. I cant wait to return for my next meal.❤️ The small quaint table setting is romantic and intimate for any date night. The place is a must to experience and dine. I recommend a million times over.”
“Webb Custom Kitchen in Downtown Gastonia is truly a gem of a restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed, creating an inviting atmosphere right away. The food was nothing short of fabulous, showcasing creativity and quality that impressed us. One standout was Lainey at the bar; she was incredibly accommodating, even changing the channel to NASCAR for us. Her knowledge of the history of this historic building was amazing and added an intriguing layer to our experience. Jesse, the manager, was attentive and genuinely cared about ensuring everything met our expectations, enhancing the overall wonderful service. To cap off our meal, we indulged in a Chocolate Martini that was simply delightful—rich and luscious, it was the perfect finale to our evening. Overall, Webb Custom Kitchen combines great food with exceptional service, making it a highly recommended spot for anyone visiting Gastonia.”
“Webb Custom Kitchen - Gastonia 10:45am Mothers Day My son asked me where I wanted to go for Mother’s Day. I had been to Webb a few times. I thought he would enjoy the theme, environment/vibe so that was my suggestion! Of course they didn’t let us down lol! He was looking up the movie that was playing on the screen with Barbara Stanwick and a young Kirk Douglas. We loved the music they had playing as well so many memories wow what a throwback! We were seated upstairs and had a wonderful view of the screen, not to mention the activities in the kitchen down below. Really it’s the best seat if you call for reservations! We ordered off of the brunch menu for main dishes, I told him he absolutely had to try a couple of the appetizers! We had fried green tomatoes, and the angry lobster to start. Both were absolutely wonderful and exactly what I expected so definitely consistent. We ordered two Benedict dishes. I got the crabcake Benedict and he got the eggs with ham. Everything was very good, but when it comes to crabcakes, I can’t lie. Nothing compares to 131 main so the size of the Crabcakes - I was a bit disappointed. Don’t get me wrong. They were fresh, but too thin and the flavor and texture were not to my personal preference. The crab kind of got lost in all the other ingredients. I would definitely try a different dish next time. I ordered a side of bacon, perfectly cooked and great flavor. Along with the side of their mac & cheese, which has always been a favorite. I love the combination of cheeses that they use. It’s such a treat! Lastly, we had to have their Parmesan truffle fries. Again consistent, excellent! They are always busy so reservations are required versus recommended to be honest. But we parked for free across the street because we were there early. Sadly, neither one of us had room for dessert, but their desserts are so good and the helpings are huge. Maybe next time!”
“We absolutely enjoyed our visit to Webb Custom Kitchen! Excellent atmosphere, staff, service, food and drinks! Jacob our host was super friendly and very accommodating. Jessie the manager was very nice and super knowledgeable about the restaurant. Our server (unfortunately I forgot her name, I'm sorry) was super tentative and knowledgeable about the history of the theater. Everything was delicious. Especially the truffle fries Definitely a must stop when in the area. We absolutely will be back.”
“My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We were lucky enough to get a balcony table. The atmosphere was amazing. Really unique and beautiful. Not loud either - we could hear each talk. Ramone was are server and was excellent. We got the duck cigar appetizer. My husband got the ribeye with potato cakes and the risotto. I got filet mignon with buttery smashed Yukon gold potatoes and Asparagus. We ended with the creme brulee. All the food was amazing. The only thing with room for improvement were the cocktails - they were fine, not a wow. Definitely worth the drive out to Gastonia (about 45 minutes for us). We would have paid much more for a meal of this quality in Charlotte or Raleigh area.”
