The Mill Glen Arbor is a New American restaurant in the Glen Arbor neighborhood of Maple City.
“Had a wonderful experience at The Mill this weekend. I am prepared to say that I had the best latté of my life (to date). I also had a baked good that was wonderful, in the photo below it must be known that I ate the baked good before I took the picture but after the picture I licked my index finger and picked up all the tiny bits. The outside had a very nice seating area and the inside was rustic yet clean. There is beautiful art on the walls throughout the place and the service was wonderful. They have a happy “half” hr which is a bit confusing but who cares? Baked goods and coffee are great and at a pretty normal price, dinner is a bit pricy but you are paying for well crafted food not overpriced GFS meals. Would highly recommend.”
“We enjoyed Valentine's dinner at The Mill with another couple and had the 5-course Chef's tasting menu with wine pairings. Everything was excellent! The menu items were quite unique and very nicely presented, the wines paired very well, and the service was wonderful. We enjoyed a table looking over the river. It was a wonderful evening.”
“We love the coffee at the mill! All house made syrups and an excellent coffee with no bitter after taste! The bomboloni we got at our last stop was delicious! But their hot breakfasts are really not the best. The eggs for the sandwiches are a thick slab of almost jello?? The biscuits and gravy was really strange with some kindof green drizzle and radishes sliced on top. I love the Mill but they need to streamline to what they are good at, which is coffee and baked goods.”
“This review is only for the maple mocha iced latte I ordered, as we didn't try any food. The latte was really not that great as I couldn't taste any maple and could barely detect the espresso. I think the ratios were off. For coffee in Glen Arbor, I'll stick with Leelanau Roasting or Rinco Bros. That said, the shop is really cute and the seating area looks great!”
“Beautiful setting and good food, but felt very overpriced for what you get. The sandwich I had was pretty small, $14 with no side, not even chips. My husband had a yogurt bowl—$10 for yogurt, granola and raisins. We both had kind of expected at least fresh fruit on it at that price. Pay point forces you to choose from 20, 25, or 30% for a tip… when you order at the counter yourself and they just bring the food out. I’m not against tipping, but casual service like that does not warrant a 20% tip in my opinion.”
