A friends birthday was made extra special by our waitress, Camila, beautiful reddish hair, who served her a slice of decadent chocolate cake on a platter that spelled out Happy Birthday, in cursive...a dying art! Seriously, the fried brussel sprout salad with a crab cake was excellent!”

I was staying in a hotel on Pelham Road and wanted something upscale without the prices of Chophouse 47; this is the place! Amazing food, amazing customer service. Alex and Alejandro are the best. “Contemporary food and atmosphere located in a new development. Expansive whiskey selection and cocktails. For a small kitchen, the food comes out quick and delicious. Never had blue cheese chips before, would recommend. Crab cakes are Maryland style, loose packed and nicely seared.”

“TLDR; waitress with a vendetta tampered with food. Visited for the first time 2 weeks ago, the food was delicious! Oysters Rockefeller, Chicken Marsala (Carolina style with succotash) & the amazing, calm, neighborhood feel on the patio. We had a great night. $240+ bill for a table of 4. When an exec was visiting this week on a work trip, I was SO excited to show him The One5, with Carolina fare, farm to table options and the quiet Hartness vibes. When making the reservation, I requested that we not have the waitress with the lion tattoo, the waitress the first visit was comically curt, it was borderline awkward and made us feel like unwanted tasks, rather than guests. It was no big deal, we laughed it off and felt no need to complain/leave a bad review. (Deducía su nombre de la lista que me enumeró la anfitriona porque reconocía a su acento castellano..); I didn't expand on a reason why and felt no need to because it wasn't a big deal, I only wanted our out-of-town guest to have a great experience and experience Greenville culture. BIG mistake. Huge. The hostess obviously had no notion of discretion. Said waitress shot me daggers with her eyes from the beginning of the night until the end, as we sat on the patio with a different server. My wine came out in a dishwater-stained glass and tasted soapy. The chicken marsala looked like a kitten in the bathtub. I tried to eat the soupy dish but then cut into the chicken and it was still frozen. All other meals at the table were fine, compliments to the chef on the Wagyu burgers from Landrum... The manager assured me nothing was tampered with and offered to replace the meal, but it was all too much to be a coincidence. 24hrs later, and still no food poisoning like the other reviewers, thank goodness. $280+ for a table of 4. Learned my lesson. Selber Schuld. I'll need to look for another farm-to-table option in the area. Schade.”
