Brandy's on Main is an American restaurant in the Downtown neighborhood of Hendersonville.
“Good, creative food. Mostly seafood and steak. It is NOISY!!! And our room was too dim yo read the menu. Only open 4-8 pm. Reservations are a good idea. Popular.”
“Update: once again Brandy's delivers excellent food! This time my partner and I split the Wedge Salad with Blue Cheese dressing, had their wonderful 13 spice bread, and then we split the Trout Ama (NC mountain troud topped with Blue Crab and Lobster served with a scallion, sherry, cream sauce. The trout was then browned in the oven with a panko Parmesan crust. It was placed over a bed of rice pilaf with Hollandaise sauce. Just what a foodie wants!!!! We thought about dessert, but we were just too full. Next time! Went to Brandy's On Main in downtown Hendersonville to celebrate my birthday, and what a delight it was! Our server told us this was a scratch kitchen. Everything is made from scratch daily. The meal started with several slices of their warm, homemade bread that has 13 spices in it. Oh, what a taste sensation! My partner ordered a cup of Shrimp and Salmon Chowder - very tasty. I ordered the Lobster Bisque, best I've had outside of New Orleans! We then decided to split "Sleepless in Seattle" - fresh Maine Lobster, shrimp, with Portabella Mushrooms, and Cavatappi pasta in a Brandy Fontina Cheese cream sauce. The seafood and pasta were perfectly cooked and served in a beautifully rendered sauce. We closed our meal with a Creme Bruleé with Berries that was served with chilled spoons and then a Champagne toast - a wonderful end to a truly delightful meal. Great way to celebrate a birthday!”
“6 Stars! First time here, Great foor & service (thanks Dina). The lobster bisque was delicious and the Trout Alamaia was outstanding! Will definitely be back next time I’m in town. 👍👍”
“What a wonderful surprise! Hendersonville restaurants as a rule are mostly mediocre - Brandy's is a class act on every level. We were pleasantly greeted by Kelly, the hostess, and even though we were slightly early for our reservation she told us our table was ready and promptly seated us. Deena, our server, was attentive to every detail. We had questions about the menu and if she didn't know the answer cheerfully went back to check with the chef. I had the prime rib eye - very well butchered and expertly cooked. Others at our table sampled a filet and crab mixture and rainbow trout. Everything was attractively plated and we all enjoyed our food. Side dishes are not very exciting - my baked potato was average sized. Asparagus side was only 2 stalks. About 6 choices for dessert - we all sampled the creme brulee which was excellent. Nice surprise was the gentleman at the piano - he had an extensive play list which created an upscale atmosphere. We made another reservation before we left!”
“I would love to have loved it - pretty place and nice people and appreciated the live piano. The entres were fairly priced considering what they included and in general the seasoning was fine. French onion is a hard thing to make well and the preparation was very good, but it was exceedingly bland. Had this been a $10-$20 per meal restaurant that you didn't need a reservation, I would not have even commented, but for $120 plus tip, I expect exceptional service and food. Craft Steak in Las Vegas or Gibson's in Chicago or Bones in Atlanta are not significantly more expensive and their food is much better. Additionally, there were a lot of bones in my wife's trout.”
