“On the brunch menu, there is an “unlimited brunch” option. It’s more than enough food for one person but I’m a big back so I was up for the challenge. I tried 2 of the 3 meals. I started with the shrimp & grits, which I loved!! (Although it’s very common, I hate when restaurants leave the tail on my shrimp, so I have to pick through my food before eating it, but it was delicious!! so I’ll let it slide lol). Chicken & waffles were pretty good too and the strawberries was a nice finishing touch. As a condiment freak that likes everything a lil wet, I loved the fact that I didn’t even have to ask for dipping sauce, they brought hot sauce & ranch for the wings and of course syrup for the waffles. Everything was perfect and I guess if there was anything I could tweak, it’d be the that the unlimited brunch only comes with 2 mimosas. As much as I appreciated the big back concept, I’d rather have unlimited mimosas with any of the delicious food options I had with the deal. This was a great way to try multiple options but my preference is whatever meal andfor my mimosa glass to stay full the entire time. If I’m not mistaken, this may have been an option that I overlooked so no points off for that & honestly, no real complaints! 3 of us went for Sunday brunch around 4pm. Then I think the menu switched to happy hour at 5 or 6, which had some bomb specials!!! Highly recommend staying over after brunch depending on your LITuation. Not too busy, the DJ was just wrapping up and switched to a cool playlist on the aux…maybe it’s a day party vibe earlier? If so, we missed it which was Perfect timing for us, as there was no wait for table! We’ll be back.”
“First time enjoying food and atmosphere and the BEST WAITRESS DEZ. She gave us the best tips on food and drink and has amazing spirit and she is the reason we will be back regularly.”
“Second time visiting Moca, the ambiance of the establishment is very beautiful and the greetings from hostess is always cheerful. Customer service is on point , the staff carries professionalism very nicely and caters to the wants of the customer. I 100% recommend MOCA ( Men of Color Achieving) a hot spot for the Grown N Sexy Club a great destination to visit and enjoy quality vibes, food, drinks and entertainment. Thank you to the body guard John for making sure my neighbor and I made it to our cars safely.”
“If you haven’t been to Moca HTX, you’re seriously missing out! 💫 The vibe here is always on point — clean, stylish, and welcoming every time. The staff and bartenders are super friendly and keep things running smoothly (shoutout to whoever makes those Old Fashioneds — perfection). I take Bachata classes here on Tuesdays with Latin Dance Factory, and it’s become one of my favorite weekly spots. Whether you’re coming for a drink, a dance, or renting the venue for a private event, this place is pure good energy. Highly recommend! 🕺✨”
“My experience at Moca HTX on today (June 21, 2026) was nothing like the other reviews stated. I booked a reservation here to celebrate my birthday. We arrived shortly after 12pm which is the time they open on Sundays. They were not fully staffed and ready to serve guests at 12. We were notified that their “chef” did not like how their grease looked so he needed to change it which would put a hold on all fried foods. Cool, my party of 6 decided to order food that was not fried. We waited almost an hour for food that was lukewarm and not as described on their menu. 2 of my guests didn’t get their omelets (omelets take less than 10 minutes to make). My breakfast potatoes and toast were burnt. The grits in my shrimp and grits were thick and stiff not rich and creamy. Our server Mary put her hands in her mouth as she was talking to us (unsanitary). I want to say that who I believe was the manager did comp our tickets as half of my party sent food back or canceled their order. I appreciate him for trying to make it right but this is unacceptable for a Black owned business during Juneteenth weekend! I left this restaurant defeated after wanting to support a Black owned business not only for my birthday but for Juneteenth. I hope yall take this review and make the correct adjustments.”
