Saint Florian is a Contemporary American restaurant in the Hudson neighborhood of Hudson.
“Moved from SLC to Hudson three months ago and have dined at Saint Florian three or four times now. The chef came highly recommended from Chef Zach Wade of Cosmica in SLC! This is a place we hope, and expect, will become a fixture of the scene here. Food, drinks and vibe are excellent. The staff is very friendly. For people visiting Hudson with toddlers, I highly recommend visiting Saint Florian. They have high chairs and the food comes out fast. Especially if you arrive around 5pm. They seem very welcoming of young families which is refreshing as you simultaneously feel like you’re getting a nice night out but it’s not stuffy. My only constructive feedback is we couldn’t tell if waiting staff is dedicated per table or more floating as we had to flag staff down a few times due to our server not regularly visiting our table. It was not a big deal. Hope to one day be out late enough to try the late night menu!”
“As a 4 star Google reviewer, 5 star man, and 6 star general who smokes 7 Star cigarettes, I make it my business to try every eatery within 109 miles of my home. This place was great! The food was inventive and delicious. Same with the cocktails. You can tell they're having fun with the flavors and ingredients, which is huge. The meal was coursed out perfectly, and after a cursory round of pushups in between each course, I had ample time to ruminate on the interesting flavors before moving onto the next. The scallop toast and mala noodles were a highlight for me and I would recommend letting your curiosity lead here. Portions are generous but not gluttonous, which is nice because the later would be sinful. Also they carry Utica Club beer, the first beer sold after prohibition. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to others like myself as well as others unlike myself. Looking forward to my next visit!”
“Dinner at Saint Florian was a truly wonderful meal to cap off a girls weekend in Hudson. Our waiter, Josh, was incredibly attentive and helpful, offering menu suggestions and explanations. We ordered the charred snap peas, the gem Caesar salad, kale salad, bread service, the roasted cabbage entree, and knish plus a crème brûlée for dessert. Three of us shared the dishes, and we had leftovers of all items except the cabbage, so portions for the above plates are generous for the prices. The vegetables were all incredibly fresh and flavorful— vegetarian options are well-thought out and purposeful here. The drinks menu is creative and tasty. While many of the cocktails lean sweet, the bar was happy to make adjustments to customer preference. We ended up closing down the dinner section of the restaurant & at no point were we rushed out. A truly lovely dining experience on a chilly March evening.”
“Every dish was a solid hit. NY strip steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare. I could tell that the steak was very quality from the delicious juicy fat. Every bite of the caesar salad was a perfect bite of textures and flavor. I personally loved how the waiter was very patient and informative about the food. Def worth the visit!!”
“Well I rarely rate a place this low. For starters I came at 4:30ish on a cold windy day and there was no soup until 5pm so for 30 minutes the customer couldn’t be pleased. I felt in comparison to other places like the 4k restaurants that I have made reviews of on my social media it was not a fair priced “portion to price ratio”. Chicken and fries are under 10 bucks for most kids meals 15 the max. The Diet Coke was flat and when I told my waiter he tried to fix it at least but, I chose not to continue because at this point my experience was going down hill. Sometimes you’re better going to a small hole in the wall and the food is better. As for the rest of the meal no bread and butter while you wait for your food. The waiter pushed a glass of wine when explained if no specific red was available then a soda would be ok. But people make mistakes sometimes so It’s ok. Honestly as 36 year veteran cooking and owning a restaurant I know what is fair and what customers want. I could contribute more about my experience or post a video but I don’t see the further need to explain that this is one of those places where you don’t want to go. Last note “Let’s explore and enjoy sensible dining” The fair Chef”
