Vue Rooftop Iowa City

“Had a wonderful experience here. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and was excited to give The Vue a try since its located on the 12th floor of the hotel! The view was spectacular to watch sunset and also see much of the town. The three of us that went really enjoyed all the food ordered. We went before the rush, so there were only a few couples there. Half way through our meal, the crowd started coming in, and even their private event room was being used. From the salad, to the main menu, to the dessert, everything was on par. It was very expensive, but the quality was superb, so it was well worth it. We had a very nice waitress also. Excited to return when I head back to University of Iowa.”

“Iowa City (Hilton)— W O W, what a great place. Looked out over the River and airport to countryside. Fantastic atmosphere, service to match both the atmosphere and the view, topped only by the food. We tried the Brussel sprout appetizer, they were fine but I’ll go with something else next time. Maybe because there were just the two of us and it’s a lot of appetizer. Carol got wild mushroom and rice, she loved it. I went with the NY Strip (cheddar mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli) the steak was SPOT ON PERFECT, broccoli was crisp, fresh, delicious. Potatoes were enough for two services, they were delicious. Waiter was attentive without hovering, this was a fair price point for the experience, definitely going back, definitely recommend- they will not disappoint. Parking was on street (free - we were after 6pm), and close (we parked by the Courthouse). There’s literally nothing to complain about or be disgruntled with. We had a great experience. Looks like they have some fun themed nights scheduled, a murder mystery, dueling pianos, check their website. This is an upscale restaurant/bar. However we did see some daisy dukes, a guy in a baseball cap, and a lady who appears to have came direct from the pool. The theme and vibe is dress up a bit folks!”

“We had a great experience here overall. I ordered the beef steak medium rare (they initially brought it medium), and while it ended up a bit more done than medium rare, it was still very tasty and well-prepared. The quality of the beef was solid, and the cheese appetizers were delicious. The ambience was really nice and made the meal even more enjoyable. Big thumbs up to the wait staff as well — attentive, friendly, and professional.”
