“Most underrated restaurant in the Charleston area. Place should be a 5/5…. First time here, such a fun vibe. Guys sat us at the chefs bar. Great experience getting to watch them interact. Really passionate about what they are creating. Food was outstanding, will be dreaming of the whipped ricotta until next time. Could not have asked for a better dinner after a long day at the beach - they want you to come, relax and enjoy some really good food in a casual setting.”

“This place deserves all the hype. A wonderful experience from start to finish. We went for my wife’s birthday, a chilly day in March. We knew there would be less crowds in cooler weather. It’s a small parking lot, but I’m fairly certain you can park across the street as well. I’ll start with food. Incredible. Everything was hot and cooked perfectly over open fire. We started with whipped ricotta. I could eat this stuff with just a spoon. The grilled sourdough was a perfect match, & the herbs and honey were perfect toppings. The New York strip was huge, bigger than my tomahawk pork chop. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. You can tell everything is fresh and made with care. We had potatoes as the side which were good but I think more could have been done there. The only thing that I think would make the food experience a 12/10 is to make the apps & sides more accessible. All apps and sides are à la carte. $13 for the ricotta and $9 for the potatoes is a bit high for my liking. I know I’m probably not the target market or the typical customer who isn’t spending $200 on dinner, but I would have ordered more sides if the price was a little lower. Other people might as well. The service was great! Staff is very helpful, friendly, and laid back. The gentleman who greeted us said they were not a traditional wait staff, but the only thing different is that we went up to the kitchen to order our food. Everything else was normal. They filled our water, brought out food, and cleared plates. We did not order drinks but I have no doubt they would be on par with the food. The atmosphere is where I could see the most improvement. Most of it was great, the entrance had pretty flowers over painted wood beams, gravel on the ground, real fire pits, strings lights, etc. With the development happening behind the restaurant, I think another tall fence can be put up behind the restaurant and that grassy space could be filled with a garden or something. At times I didn’t feel fully enclosed, and I want to be enclosed in an experience like this. I also noticed loose things laying around like propane tanks out back, and random objects near the front. Overall this lived up to all my expectations and I would definitely come back. Would highly recommend for a special meal or if you’re just a high roller. Thank you Lost Isle!”

“Just came home from visiting Charleston for the first time. I moved here from NY and haven’t had a truly delicious meal in SC yet. Lost Isle has changed that. The atmosphere is awesome. They had heaters and fire pits (it was a little chilly when we went) The staff was very friendly and very attentive. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. I RECOMMEND THE CLAMS. I RECOMMEND THE CAULIFLOWER STEAK. They are very delicious and definitely DO NOT lack in flavor. Definitely come here for a chill let’s grab drinks and enjoy some fantastic meals.”

“We had a lovely dinner with an old friend at Lost Isle in October. Every part of the experience was delightful. The outdoor atmosphere and smell of wood smoke reveal the authenticity of the restaurant. We ordered our food items and then sipped on drinks while waiting. The staff here work exceptionally hard to ensure eat guest is cared for. We tried to steak with chimichurri sauce. The flavor was wonderful and the steak was huge. We absolutely loved the whipped ricotta appetizer. The layers of flavor were so complimentary and we loved how the bread had a wood fried crisp. Absolutely delicious. I wish we could give it 10 stars.”

“Cat was awesome. The hosts were great, the staff was super friendly, and they really took care of us. Seating was quick, and the best part—we got front-row seats right in front of the chefs. That made the whole experience even better. The flavor? Absolutely the bomb. You can tell they focus on quality over quantity. The menu isn’t huge, but every item we tried was packed with flavor. Highly recommend it.”
