Marigold by Jean-Georges is a New American restaurant in the Keswick neighborhood of Keswick.
“Good dinner and breakfast. Thai coconut soup, tuna tartare were amazing, good but very spicy shrimp pasta. Solid omelette with good hot coffee. Came back 2 years later and had another great experience. Good, if simple, cheese pizza, Thai curry Seabass was awesome, cocktails were great, service and vibes really nice.”
“Stunning setting. Enjoy the patio outside, or the incredibly designed dining room. This is the type of restaurant that makes me want to be an interior designer. The food and service are both top notch. Smaller menu, but each item I’ve purchased has been delectable. I think you get what you pay for and I will keep coming here.”
“Absolutely loved our experience at Marigold by Jean-Georges! The food was exceptional — creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch from start to finish; everyone was attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and versatile — perfect for a romantic date night or a special celebration. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an elevated dining experience that still feels approachable. Food is on the higher side but super delicious.”
“Great place for a romantic or celebratory dinner. The service is so welcoming and the food is incredible. I recommend the Thai basil soup, truffle pizza, and crispy sushi. If you get seating on the patio, you get a beautiful view of the golf course. The inside is just as nice, and I recommend it for a more intimate feeling. This is a great dinner spot to start or end your trip to this part of Virginia and worth the drive.”
“Had an old fashioned and a martini, both were great. The Old Fashioned had cardamom in it. A little different, but good. I had the roasted chicken. Very strong dill, which is all you could taste. Waitress and menu state that it comes with “crusty potatoes”, they are potato chips. Really, potato chips. Chicken was well cooked and very juicy. But when you debone a piece of chicken, you should always press the place where the end of the bones were to make sure you get the grizzly bone tips out. Obviously not done here. My wife had the scallops. Large and well cooked. Problem is, they were setting in a pool of ground mustard, which completely overwhelms the scallops. We also had the calamari appetizer. They were obviously frozen pre battered. Very strong taste of the oil they were cooked in. Initially we were going to hang out and enjoy our cocktails. But the waitress advised us that the chef wanted to have our complete order all at once. Fine. But then it all came out pretty quick. We were there for 55 minutes, and had completed our meal, no time to set and enjoy our anniversary before the main course came out. Overall we were very disappointed. We heard so many great things about this place. But to her defense, when my wife voiced her opinion about the scallops, the waitress took them off the bill, thank you!”
