Bourbon Pear is an American restaurant in the Livermore neighborhood of Livermore.
“This place was a touch hard to find, but THANK GOD we found it. This is gonna be a new staple for us, the restaurant was clean, had good music and the staff were amazing. We had Bonnie serving us and she was so sweet to my little girl. They even have little goodies for the kids to keep! Now to the food, amazing, the catfish, to die for. The hush puppies were perfection. My little one also got the catfish but LOVED the mac n cheese app they served. The creme brulee was such a smaller we couldn't stop talking about it. My little one got the strawberry shortcake, and devoured it. Drinks- the espresso martini was a knee slapper, straight up. My wife LOVED the bourbon slush. Had a slight sour kick to it to make your mouth wanting more. Nick and one other kind dude were out bussers and they were fast, kind and worked with a smile. Great work on this fine establishment and crew. We felt welcomed and served not only food, but a family vibe with kindness to boot. EAT HERE!!!!”
“Great selection of appetizers, large selection of drinks. There is a slight aouthern flair to the food. We had the hushpuppies and the brown sugar cinnamon butter was a good dipping sauce I had the patty melt with the smoked tomato soup. The soup was devine! The patty melt had a parmesian crust to the sour dough bread. The Russian dressing was runny and tasteless. The pear tart was a pleasant surprise with fluffy pastry. Lacking enough bourbon caramel sauce. The dining area is loud. Good place for drinks and appetizers and drinks, but the food was ok.”
“Come to try this place. Foods are good, offered different types of meat and seafood. I tried the beef short rib that it's a bit salty for me, but my kids like it. They also offer kid's dishes. The environment is a bit noisy, hard to hear my friend's talk.”
“It gives me no please to offer this review. We were disappointed with our experience at The Bourbon Pear. We ordered the New York French dip and chicken sandwich with Brie The New York French Dip was essentially just a steak sandwich with a side of dip. Unfortunately the steak itself was an absolute salt bomb and came out welldone - like smoked!! It overwhelmed the dish and made it even more difficult to eat. The chicken sandwich was also dry, which was surprising because there was both brie and a pear slice as toppings. The kitchen service was slow, especially considering how little people were in the restaurant and how straightforward these dishes should be. I’d strongly suggest the chef reconsider his/her liberally seasoning and unattended cooking. Both dishes missed basic preparation standards. There’s potential here, but the food quality and consistency need attention. On a positive note, my lovely wife really liked the Pear-tini”
“Tried this place for the first time. VERY noisy... could barely hear my conversation with my wife. Food was good . I will say the French onion soup was one of the best I've ever tasted! Salmon was ok.... My wife had a steak Salad and wasn't impressed, the meat was tough and semi flavorful. I did like the Salmon and it was a 6 out of 10. A little over cooked.”
