Tony's Seafood by Hog Island Oyster Co. is an American restaurant in the West Marin neighborhood of Marshall.
“Was recommended as one of the best places for oysters on our drive south on Hwy 1. They were right. We had grilled oysters for the first time instead of raw and they were amazing! Great pre lunch snack with a little bread and wine! The Hog Island hit sauce was so good we bought a few to take home. TNX”
“I visited Tony’s Seafood Restaurant on May 27, and this review was honestly long overdue. My first visit was on December 29, 2025, and I somehow missed writing a review then, so I am sorry for that. This second visit felt like the perfect reminder that some places deserve to be appreciated properly. Tony’s is such a lovely spot, with a beautiful view of the water, a simple but well-selected menu, and a team that makes you feel genuinely welcome. The food was great, and the whole experience felt warm, relaxed, and memorable. A special shoutout to Matt and Christine, who took the time to interact with guests with such genuine warmth. You can always feel the difference when people are not just doing their job, but actually care about making your visit special. The chowder was delicious, but definitely hearty, so make sure you arrive hungry. I could not finish it and honestly felt guilty leaving behind such a nice dish. I would have loved to take it to go, but I was heading somewhere else. The panna cotta was lovely too and ended the meal beautifully. There was also another wonderful server whose name I unfortunately cannot remember. She has amazing dreadlocks, a great sense of style, and you will probably notice her rocking her Versace sunglasses. She was fantastic. Not only did she have great food recommendations, but she also shared thoughtful suggestions on where to go around the area, what to buy, and what to experience. She added so much warmth and personality to the visit. If you are ever near Point Reyes, or anywhere around this beautiful part of the coast, make sure you stop at Tony’s Seafood Restaurant. Good food, beautiful views, and genuinely kind people. That combination is always worth coming back for.”
“A must go to if you like oysters, fresh or barbecued. Plus stunning views of Tomales Bay. Absolutely worth the ride. Been coming for years now, and never disappointed. Try the barbecued Ling Cod cheeks also. Super favorable.”
“We love this place and eat here every time we are in point Reyes station. View is peaceful and beautiful! Apart from oysters being amazing, we tried their Thai curry doungeness crab once which was amazing! Fresh, meaty and tasty! Fish tacos and fish and chips are always tasty! Parking can be hard depending on time of the day and day of the week. All in all a very popular place”
“As others have mentioned, the location and views are absolutely phenomenal. We sat outside at the rail, which was perfectly comfortable, and because it was a warm afternoon with minimal wind we could relax and enjoy the incredible scenery. The drinks were fantastic: incredibly well made and well balanced, we didn’t notice (much less mind) they were made with agave. I had the Bloody Mary and she had the shrub, both were top notch. We shared the food: fish and chips, plus two each of the chipotle bourbon and miso nori BBQ’d oysters. Everything was fantastic: the fish was beautifully crispy and the flavor was rich and savory. The fries were crunchy and perfect with a couple dashes of malted vinegar. The oysters were all very flavorful. If I had to choose something to list as a downside, it was that the oysters might’ve been a little overcooked: they were a challenge to pull from the shell. But this is complaining at a very high level. Our server was quite friendly. She even gave us a free Panna Cotta to share for dessert: creamy, slightly sweet, and delicious with the strawberries and drizzle!”
