“After much parting with our nephews, we decided to take our brother and sister in law to Lafayette music room ans as always it did not disappoint. In fact it was better then ever as it was not busy on January 2 2026. We had thier pizza which is always great and thier drinks are superb. Fair prices and great live music! Make sure you check the schedule before visiting to make sure that there will be live music that night. It varies from weekend to weekend.”
“Just one thing missing… Marcus Scott & The New Project put on a helluva show. Food and drink were excellent and fairly priced. The atmosphere, vibe, and overall feel transported me to to New Orleans and Lafayette. Note the upside down guitar hiding in the Fleur de Lis of their logo at the backdrop of the stage. What was missing? 200 new friends! Come on Memphis. You’re missing out on this one. The crowd that was there was great. Dancing, smiling, and having a fantastic night. I’ll definitely visit the Lafayette Music Room the next time I’m in Memphis and be on the lookout for Marcus Scott anytime he’s taking the stage.”
“Good music, good food, good service! I especially recommend Sunday brunch. I ordered the "Chicken Biscuit Benedict;" the eggs came out perfectly poached, the chicken was crispy with a bit of a spicy kick, and the biscuit was a better than average version in a town that KNOWS its biscuits! All the while, an excellent jazz band played their renditions of the old classics. Now, be aware that the atmosphere is that of a well used music venue; comfortable, but not fancy or delicate. I didn't see any Sunday dresses or lacy hats. 😁 There's also a full patio bar which opens into the main room, and some of the "regulars" were a bit boisterous (in friendly way, not "obnoxious"); so, it can be a little loud. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. After all, what else you gonna do early afternoon on a Sunday in Memphis?”
“4/12/25 2nd time and this time evening. Arrived at 4pm on Saturday. It’s best to make a reservation because the tables are usually booked. We sat on 2nd floor balcony but was told we had to leave by 6:30pm which was not an issue. The band was Area 51 and they sounded pretty good. There was a $10 cover charge per person although the band didn’t start playing till 5pm. I have added a video of group. The music is very nice and it’s a good idea to go online to see who is playing. Next time I’m in Memphis I’ll definitely return for the music!! The food is great except for the cheese potato tots. The cheese was very cheep and like it was melted in microwave. My sister sent that back to kitchen. I tasted one and they were not good at all. They need to buy better cheese or take off menu. It took an hour to get our food which was small plates (appetizers). Not sure what that was about. The serve was DJ and he was very nice. The food taking so long is the chef’s fault. This was quite disappointing. Smh I went here for lunch and the food and service was so great that I went back the next day. Abby, the hostess was very nice and helpful with menu. Today Jennifer was my server and she was so friendly and attentive. They have a live music each evening starting at 6pm. This place is super nice and very spacious; out door seating and 2nd floor. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is delicious. Definitely plan to visit again when in town. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!!”
“Came out from California and caught some cool music. There wasn't much going on in Tennessee during Christmas. Thankfully this place was open. Not a bad place to watch live bands”
