“We had an amazing experience! All around exceptional dinner! From the food, to a beautiful atmosphere, high end cocktails, and a service staff second to none. We selected fresh caught fish from their ice display, I'd highly recommend. They have species of fish you've never heard of and probably won't anywhere else. Dress appropriate as this is definitely high end and very few children. Price point is high but it's worth the experience. Check out the desert options, they were amazing. Picture is the Avra Special, it was to die for. All in all great night and we'll ne back.”
“If you’re seeking a special dinner - this is your place. It’s a greek restaurant with a special fresh fish bar on display. The service was very attentive but not too much. We tried several dishes and went for an exotic japanese fish we hadn’t heard of before. The waiters suggestion was amazing. High ceilings and a fine vibe. Must try!”
“I was beyond impressed with Avra from start to finish. Our server, Jonathan, deserves special recognition ~ he was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. Even though our reservation was at 9:30 PM, we never once felt rushed. We stayed until almost 11:15 PM, and the service remained seamless and welcoming the entire time. What really stood out was that every single person who came by our table, whether helping with food, drinks, or clearing plates, made sure we were taken care of. That level of teamwork and consistency is rare and speaks volumes about how well this restaurant is run. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The zucchini chips were perfectly crunchy and addictive. The grilled octopus was tender and full of flavor, and the plaki Chilean sea bass literally melted in our mouths. Every dish was beautifully prepared and executed to perfection. And then… dessert. The Greek yogurt with berries and berry jam is on a completely different level. Rich, creamy, perfectly balanced ~ it is an absolute must-order and the perfect way to end the meal. Even though Avra has been open for about 3.5 years, this was my first visit ~ and it definitely won’t be my last. Exceptional service, incredible food, and an unforgettable dining experience. I’ll absolutely be back again.”
“A good dining experience here at Avra Miami. Food was pretty good. I liked the sardine dish and the lobster pasta. Wine choices were espansive. The service was very good. Friendly and helpf staff throughout.”
“Honest Review Overall, our experience had a few highlights but ultimately fell short of expectations. * Drinks (4/5): Good, but nothing particularly memorable. * Greek Salad (3/5): The quality of the produce was underwhelming, and the addition of vinegar was not appreciated. * Avra Chips (4/5): Enjoyable and well-prepared. * Saganaki (1/5): Disappointing—served cold centred . * Lobster Pasta (4.5/5): A standout dish—flavorful and well-executed. * Filet Mignon (3.5/5): Overcooked and dry, paired with a sauce that had an unappealing, paste-like consistency. * Atmosphere (4.5/5): Very pleasant and inviting ambiance. * Baklava (1/5): Dry and served with an ice cream scoop that did not complement the dish at all. Service (1.5/5): Unfortunately, the service was a major letdown. Our waiter was inattentive and seemed to forget about our table, despite the restaurant not being busy for a Friday night. We were never given the opportunity to order a second round of drinks. Additionally, food was served on chipped plates, which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. We visited to celebrate a birthday, but the experience was disappointing. There was no acknowledgment beyond a slice of cake with a candle being placed on the table without any engagement. Overall: While the atmosphere and a few dishes were enjoyable, the inconsistencies in food quality, poor service, and lack of attention to detail made this a disappointing visit.”
