Carbone is Chef Mario Carbone’s homage to the great Italian American restaurants of mid-20th century in New York, where delicious, exceptionally well-prepared food was served in settings that were simultaneously elegant, comfortable and unpretentious. His food captures the essence of that history but takes its culinary cues from the kitchens of his childhood, the great talents with whom he worked throughout his early career and incorporates his signature techniques that blend familiar and bold flavors to create the most craveable dishes. We call this Carbone Italian.
“As a party of 5 first time diners, Captain Daunte and his right hand Kyle Lee made everything about the experience memorable, from the time we were sat to the time we reached our vehicle from valet. Every detail of the menu was explained with notes on history, plating, and service. We opted for the calamari, baked clams, Caesar salad, spicy rigatoni, branzino, porterhouse, and carrot cake along with a mix of cocktails. We greatly appreciative the attentiveness and family like bonding personal experience provided by Daunte and we will definitely be back. He has hospitality perfected”
“This Italian inspired restaurant did not disappoint. The waiters were extremely respectful and very helpful with special requests. Doors were always opened for us and the napkins were always refolded if we left the table. We got the Tortellini al Ragu, Spicy Rigatoni pasta, and the chicken scarpatiello. The food was AMAZING! 10/10!! If you don't like your pasta al dante then I would let the waiter know. The chicken was out of this world! Probably the BEST chicken I have ever had. It's boiled in a signature tomato paste sauce with herbs, veggies, and sausages (similar to as a stew). The chicken was extremely soft! I was able to cut through the skin and breast effortlessly using a butter knife. The meals also come with 3 signature breads, pickled cauliflower, and salami; all of which were amazing! Also, the plates are intended to be ordered as "family style/shareable". Indoors was a completely different vibe from the patio. Patio seating was more-so quiet and relaxing whereas indoors felt like I was in the movie "Godfather". A bit loud and controlled chaos? Nonetheless, very beautiful and such an amazing experience! I would come back again!”
“A few of my friends were in town, so we decided to try Carbone. I had never been before, but two people in our party of five had experienced the New York location and highly recommended it. We made reservations about two weeks in advance. Parking can be a bit rough, so I’d definitely recommend taking an Uber or using valet if possible. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent and the food absolutely lived up to the hype. We ordered a few appetizers to share, and I split the Dover piccata, which was unbelievably delicious. It practically melted in your mouth, and the server’s presentation while preparing it tableside made the experience even more memorable. We also ordered the branzino, spicy rigatoni, and octopus pizzaiola, every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. They even made an amazing mocktail, although I sadly can’t remember the name of it. Overall, it was such a fun dining experience with incredible food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back.”
“This place is nothing short of perfect. I've lived in south Florida for 3 years and always found the service to be underwhelming. Not at Carbone. Nick was our waiter and he was excellent. Can't say enough about him. Attentive, made great recommendations, our wine glasses were never empty, the list goes on. The food was amazing.. worth every penny. If you have been wanting to try Carbone, do it. Worth the hype. Immaculate vibe. Oldies Italian music and Motown playing in the background. Sinatra, Otis Redding, Louis Prima.. you name it. Food, service, ambiance, music, wine.. all 10/10. You won't regret coming here.”
“Carbone is an extremely overpriced restaurant that falls short on food quality. The prices are obscene. The steak is $105. The fish is $145. Soup is $29 and the appetizers are $60. The staff was excellent and the atmosphere was cool. But as for the food you can get better food quality at Olive Garden. The place is basically all hype. The steak tasted like a tire patch and the pasta was completely undercooked. The food prices are completely unjustified. They also force you to pay a 20% gratuity and then have the audacity to ask for an additional tip on the final bill. The bill for 3 of us was $550. We left disappointed with the food. Bread was delicious as was the cheese cake. Main courses were mediocre at best.”
