“Nice, modern Mexican restaurant with a stylish atmosphere and chill music. I recommend reserving a table ahead of time, as it can get busy. The standout dish was the duck with mole—it may be one of the best dishes we've ever had. The rich, savory duck paired perfectly with the subtly sweet, complex mole sauce, creating an unforgettable combination that took our taste buds on a true culinary journey.”

“Food and drinks were wonderful! Visiting from New Mexico, a lot of the food was familiar but executed very well and with amazing seafood that I wouldn't be able to get at home. The birria fat wash old fashion and pulpo al pastor were my favorites.”

“Visited Alejandro’s, and overall the experience was just average. Service started off slow, as it took longer than expected to be greeted and attended to. I ordered a carajillo, but it was overly sweet and felt rushed, lacking balance. As an appetizer, we had the queso fundido with chorizo—unfortunately, it arrived slightly burned and lacked depth of flavor. The chorizo itself tasted more like standard sausage than traditional Mexican chorizo. For entrées, we tried the mole enchiladas and the Poc Chuc, a classic dish from Yucatán. I always believe that a good mole sets the tone for the kitchen, but this one was too sweet and the addition of tomato threw off its traditional complexity. On a positive note, the Poc Chuc was well-executed—juicy, properly cooked, and the closest dish to authentic Mexican flavor during the visit. “Had a resy credit that I wanted to use in Monterey. Made a reservation for 4 at 6pm in the booth. Unless you carry ear plugs with you, DO NOT SIT AT THE BOOTH. The acoustics in the booth were terrible- every word and sound made by the table in the middle of the room was amplified, and we had to yell at each other just to talk. Felt like we were more a part of their conversation. Waiter was notified of food allergies prior to taking our order. The server that placed the food said the sauce didn't contain one of the food allergies. Shortly after our waiter informed us that the sauce did contain one of the food allergies. The sauce was not touched. Chicken & salmon were dry. Carrots were the best dish.”
