“The atmosphere is so cozy and with only 12 tables you know this place is going to be good! It’s no surprise with the quality of the food & drinks why the restaurant has so many James Beard nominations AND with another 2026 nomination up for wine and drinks this year. The food was absolutely incredible - my boyfriend got the French onion Burger which the presentation AND flavors were both incredible (of course I had to taste! Haha) I opted for the Pop Up. The course duck pate was nothing short of culinary magic. I would have licked the plate clean if it were socially acceptable! For my main, I had the Cacio de Pepe pasta it was so light and flavourful - maybe a little too salty for my pallet but that could have been the Pecorino cheese. The chocolate mousse dessert was light and rich and was a perfect bitter sweet pairing to my espresso (which was absolutely perfectly made with delicious thick espresso crema - not often achieved and very well done!) We chose a bottle of Portuguese red wine for our meal which may now be our favorite! Tuesday they have live Jazz music which was stellar and just really elevated an already intimate and cozy yet classy vibe. We interacted with several staff during our dinner - notably was Ava who we engaged with the most. She was lovely and definitely demonstrated passion for the menu and for dining. We had several items boxed to take home and she kindly held them back of house for us until we were ready to leave - this was such a nice consideration given we were sitting at a small two seater table and the to-go bags would have been cumbersome if received too early. “Easily one of the best restaurants we've been to.. Leah & Stephanie were amazing‼️ We fell in love with the candle lit ambience immediately. It was a rainy Monday night in Mystic and we combed through the menu at our window seat table while we watched the rain slap against the pavement. The food was 10/10. I ordered the same entree twice 😭. We made fond memories & even went downstairs to snap shots at the photo booth they have at their dive bar. We will most definitely be back. “Where to even begin with Port of Call. The moment you walk in, it feels like friends have been waiting for your arrival to welcome you in. The staff is truly so wonderful and a BIG shoutout to Stephanie, the best bartender in the business. She is so passionate about what sh does and it brings us joy to watch her face light up to talk about the cocktails and food menu. Ask her anything and she will find the best cocktail to match your mood and give amazing recommendations. I always struggle with figuring out what I want to drink and Stephanie took the time to ask me my preference and made me the Kiwi Fernet (on their menu) and it is now my signature drink of life. I highly recommend! Now on to the food- there is a reason they always win awards. The chef is beyond talented with her unique take on classics we have heard of. I dream of their food on a regular basis. Try something you would have never tried before, you won’t be disappointed. The Oeuf Mayonnaise, The French onion burger and the steak au poivre are unmatched. Hands down one of the best restaurants in CT. Whenever my husband and I leave Port of Call, we feel happy, relaxed, and full. Sitting at their bar is one of our favorite things to do and we never feel rushed. We enjoy everything from start to finish.”

“June 2026.This more of a bar than a restaurant, with loud music and a lot of noise. The menu was a bit hard to navigate as it is very heavily concentrated on the drinks, and finding food items among the drinks was a bit difficult. I did enjoy my selections. Crab salad was presented on an egg with perfect soft yokes. I thought It was creative and interesting combination of flavors. Haitian duck confit was also very flavorful. Served with a salad with feta and pop corn. Good flavors, nice crunch. The service was attentive. I also got a kick from a toilet with a pull chain. A flash back to my childhood, not something you see every day.”
