“We had a great Birthday dinner at The Halls Catch. Our server Rafael was great! He was so kind, helpful and very knowledgeable about the food on the menu. We had lobster bites for our appetizer, Lobster rolls and a baked banana for dessert. My mocktail was very good. We truly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!”

“We'd wanted to go to Hall's for a long time, & our 23rd anniversary seemed like as good a time as ever. Obviously, I made a reservation. We walked in, we're congratulated on our anniversary, and sat immediately. We ordered drinks & the seafood tower. We let our waitress know we wanted to pace everything out, & she helped us take our time. The seafood tower was great. I love cold lobster & hot butter. We split the Hall's Chopped salad, my wife said it was the best salad she's ever had. One of the managers also brought us some celebratory champagne, I always love those touches. For the main we ordered the 16oz Dry Aged Ribeye, medium rare. Came out perfect. Our waitress let us know about half orders of sides, so we tried a few. Corn skillet, risotto, sweet & sour collard greens, and onion rings. They were all really great. The risotto was a little underseasoned. The remoulade for the onion rings was so good. Best collard greens I've ever had. They sent us home with the whiskey bread pudding. We ate some when we got home and there is no sweeter way to fall into a food coma. 5 star dinner”

“Had an outstanding experience at Halls Chophouse. I had the dry-aged ribeye Oscar style, lobster and bacon mac & cheese, loaded baked potato, and a Halls Old Fashioned. Every single item was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly with incredible flavor, and the sides were just as impressive. The atmosphere was upscale and welcoming, the service was top-tier from start to finish, and the wine list was extensive, although definitely on the expensive side. Overall, everything felt polished and intentional. It’s not cheap: about $450 for 3 people: but honestly, it was perfection from every angle and absolutely worth the experience.”

“I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough to share—especially given how much I’ve enjoyed other Hall’s locations. We visited on a weekday evening around 8 PM and were seated quickly in the bar area, which initially gave us a great first impression. Our server was attentive at first, and things started off well. Unfortunately, the experience declined shortly after. While seated at the bar, I took a brief, casual phone call with friends—no raised voices, no inappropriate language, nothing disruptive. I’ve done the same at other Hall’s locations without issue. However, a manager named Matt approached me and asked me to step outside to take the call. I found this surprising given the setting, but I was already wrapping up. Before I could even finish, Matt returned a second time to our table, again addressing the situation. We clarified that the call was ending, but the tone and approach felt unnecessarily rude and excessive—especially for a bar area, during a weekday evening, with live music playing nearby. Later, I spoke with Matt on my way to the restroom to express how uncomfortable and disrespected the interaction made me feel. I even suggested he visit the Charleston and Greenville locations to better understand the level of hospitality Hall’s is known for. Unfortunately, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the situation—just a complete lack of concern. I want to be clear: I completely understand maintaining an atmosphere in the main dining room. But at the bar, after 8 PM, with live music playing, this felt out of place and handled poorly. This was not the Hall’s experience I’ve come to expect. Between the atmosphere, service, and overall handling of the situation, this location fell well short. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously, as it does not reflect the brand’s usual standard”
