COQODAQ, an innovative fried chicken concept from Gracious Hospitality Management, was brought to life in January 2024. Designed by Rockwell Group, as ‘the cathedral of fried chicken’ COQODAQ’s mission is to bring Better Fried Chicken to all. The one-of-a-kind dining experience skillfully integrates Korean and American influences, featuring dishes cooked by a world-class culinary team. From certified humane, hormone and antibiotic-free chicken to gluten-free and anti-inflammatory rice flour batter, and clean cultured oil - all ingredients are of the highest quality and sustainably sourced. The menu is centered around the Korean philosophy of Eum-Yang (음양|陰), which embraces duality as fundamental to the nature and balance of the universe with chilled, fresh vegetables juxtaposed with the hot, crisp fried chicken, creating a glorious harmony of flavors while aiding in better digestion. With a beverage program that champions Champagne as the pairing of choice, COQODAQ features the largest restaurant Champagne list in America, with Blue Chip classics, pages of verticals of vintages, but also 100 sparkling wines under $100, most of which is Champagne, breaking down the cost barrier of bubbly. Classic cocktails with an innovative twist as well as premiere beer and wine selections round out the menu. With a never ending and ever-evolving pursuit to deliver Better Fried Chicken at the core, COQODAQ aims to spark joy and bring happiness and deliciousness to all that walk through its doors.
“Great food and great service. It really lives up to the expectations. I enjoyed the 24 Karat Caviar Nuggets and The garlic glaze wings. The shredded onion rings were also delicious. The waiter was so attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the whole Experience. Siting outside is also a great vibe and feels more private than inside.”
“COQODAQ is fabulous! We went for Sunday brunch as a party of four and had a blast. The vibe is fantastic — great lighting, great music, and the service was on point throughout. Small touch but they have a hand wash station stocked with top-line branded soaps, which is a fun and thoughtful detail for a fried chicken spot. Brunch is $58 per person and honestly great value for what you get. Appetizers come family style and there's a lot of them — kimbap, french toast, deviled eggs, lettuce cups with steak tartare, croquettes, and hash browns topped with salmon roe. For mains, each person picks one — we went with the three signature fried chickens: OG, gochujang glazed, and soy glazed. All excellent, though portions felt a bit smaller than what I'd imagine the dinner version looks like. Dessert was soft serve with a spread of accompaniments — strawberries, mangoes, and grapes — a fun and light way to end. We opened a bottle of rosé champagne which was well priced, and the champagne list here is seriously impressive. Will definitely be back for dinner!”
“COQODAQ lives up to the hype — we were not disappointed at all. The beautiful black interior with thoughtful lighting creates such a nice atmosphere right when you walk in. The clean sinks to wash hands upon entry were a thoughtful touch. The cute champagne trolley by the entrance also sets the vibe. We ordered The Bucket List Featuring COQODAQ’s Signature Fried Chicken Feast. It included a lot of food, but surprisingly we managed to finish everything because it was that good. Crispy, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. Service was great from start to finish. It’s obvious this is a well managed restaurant with a well trained team. Staff welcomed us warmly, were super friendly, and food came out promptly. Also props to their marketing — they did a good job. And the cute, well designed to-go paper containers with no plastic? Yay for that. Overall, would absolutely come back to try other dishes here.”
“We visited Coqodaq to celebrate a birthday, and from the moment we arrived at the host stand to the end of our meal, the experience was exceptional. Our group opted for the “Brucket List” dining experience, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. The pacing of the meal was spot on—each course arrived at just the right time, allowing us to enjoy everything without ever feeling rushed or waiting too long. The service truly stood out. Our server, Paul, along with the rest of the team, delivered an impressive level of attentiveness and care. Our glasses were consistently refreshed, plates were cleared and replaced seamlessly, and the table was meticulously reset between courses. The attention to detail from both the service staff and management did not go unnoticed. A standout moment came when two guests ordered the fried chicken as their main. One piece was slightly undercooked, and although we chose not to raise the issue, a manager proactively noticed, approached our table, and addressed it immediately. Not only was the piece replaced, but it was swapped out for an entirely fresh plate of chicken—an unexpected and generous gesture that spoke volumes about their commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience marked by excellent food, thoughtful service, and genuine hospitality. I would absolutely return to Coqodaq again and again.”
“$24 lunch special for the chicken a rice. Decent deal but definitely a premium! The fried chicken is great though. Tons of flavors and a new twist in Korean. The ice cream is a bit too tarty for me - but enjoyed the chicken. It’s a very premium price for a fun experience. More fun for drinks here!”
