“This restaurant is truly perfection. The food was phenomenal, and the service was exemplary. It’s such a lovely restaurant with modern amenities, a lovely restroom, a large bar with large televisions and comfortable chairs for seated dining. As a vegan with a carnivorous husband I was very impressed with the variance and quality of vegan options. We ordered several appetizer’s, drinks, entrées and dessert. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and were so grateful for the care and superior attention to detail paid by our fantastic waiter Fang. Fang is one of the best waiters in all of NYC and I would return just to see him. Each staff member was friendly and polite. Each item that we ordered was made fresh and packed flavor. Portion sizes are generous and fairly priced. We came based upon a recommendation from a friend and I’m so grateful that we chose to dine here. This dining experience will forever be engrained in our minds. I’m so excited to bring more family and friends to Fushimi! We’ll be back 💙”
“The ambiance was beautiful, romantic, and the perfect setting for a memorable evening. The sushi was superb—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Our server, Mariya, truly made the experience exceptional. Her warm hospitality, attentiveness, and thoughtful recommendations were spot on. We loved every suggestion she made and can’t wait to return!”
“The interior impressed me the moment I walked in—the corridor is designed like a torii gate, which instantly reminded me of visiting Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto. My friend and I tried the new menu, and honestly, everything was excellent. Tuna Tartare: The tuna tartare comes with avocado sauce and a touch of wasabi. The flavors are layered and well-balanced—fresh, light, and a great way to start the meal. Steak: Cooked to a beautiful pink inside, with the juices perfectly retained—no dryness at all. The texture is tender with a fine grain, making it very pleasant to chew. The quality of the beef really stands out, with just the right amount of fat for flavor without being greasy. We kept saying that truly good ingredients don’t need much explanation—you just know from the first bite. Scallop: Pan-seared scallops with a great contrast in texture—the top has a slightly caramelized, toasty flavor, while the bottom remains silky and tender. Very well done. Miso Black Cod (Saikyo-yaki): The fish itself is of excellent quality—extremely delicate, almost melts in your mouth, with no fishy taste at all. The Saikyo miso seasoning leans slightly sweet and savory, very gentle, enhancing rather than overpowering the natural flavor of the fish. It actually brings out the richness of the fat in a very clean way. Sushi & Sashimi Plate: (This is the dish in the cover photo.) Beautiful presentation and outstanding quality. The fish is incredibly fresh, clean-tasting, and practically melts in your mouth. The platter includes four types of fish as both sashimi and nigiri, plus a spicy tuna roll. It was very filling—more than enough for two people. Dessert Platter: Very generous—includes matcha strawberry ice cream, lemon cake, caramel pudding, and mochi ice cream. Both presentation and quality are great. My favorite was the caramel pudding—rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet. Overall, the price is around $50–100 per person. Honestly, both the ingredients and the execution feel top-tier—definitely worth it.”
“was really impressed with the sushi. The fish was fresh, tender, and flavorful. The rice was perfectly seasoned — not too sweet, not too sticky. The specialty rolls had a great combination of textures and flavors. You can truly taste the quality. Highly recommend for sushi lovers!”
“We dine here for late lunch/early dinner so we are the only table. Most of the foods we had was delish. The Pork Gyoza was the best, we had to order 2nd plate. Next Sunset Blvd, American Dream, Yaki Udon, Shishito Pepper. Oyster was good too. Mochi Tasting, no taste. Not recommended at all. I love my drink Fushimi 75 but was served warm so I had to iced it to enjoy. Service could be better. Not attentive enough.”
