“I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! Our dinner was amazing! All of the staff truly special! The Japanese barbecue experience was so fun. The salmon sushi was fresh. The spicy tuna crispy rice was just OK . Unfortunately, nothing special . All of the meats were extremely fresh. And the Wagyu fried rice it’s a must! And to be honest with you, the portion sizes were very big! If you’re in the DC area, you have to try this place!”

“This place deserves the highest 5 stars Ive ever given. Service is superb, food is outstanding and the ambience is nice. We started with edamame and seaweed salad. I opted for the 5 course omakase which did not disappoint except the miso soup which was bland, the rest was knock your socks off dynamic! We had a tuna tartar roll that piled in comparison to the crab roll with sesame paper. That was good enough to cause my wife to order another one. I was served a couple more offerings if old and new school cuts of tuna, salmon, yellowtail and the ultimate otoro fatty tuna. I had hot sake which was very smooth and non offensive to cleanse the palate. My wife had whole keaf jasmine green tea which was just as good on the third hot water steeping as the first. We topped it off with a frozen strawberry and chocolate cake dessert. We'd like to cone here again and try the BBQ side of yge house as well.”

“Love, Makoto was by far the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to! I went to its Dear Sushi restaurant for a friend’s birthday and we each got the tasting menu: the Omakase. The sushi was excellent and so fresh! The courses included miso soup, hand sushi rolls, and nigiri rolls of old school and new school versions which was so cool! I also ordered the emperor butterfly drink which was so delicious and creative! Overall, I would recommend Love, Makoto so much if you are looking for a fancy sushi restaurant with outstanding food!”

“Came here for their all you can eat brunch and it didn’t disappoint. We have been eager to try it for a while. Sushi was fresh, their miso soup was delicious. Their have a good selection of options beautifully decorated, staff was great and the mocktails were top notch as well. They have options for everyone, you’re vegan their have options, as well as vegetarian, pescatarian and any other dietary restrictions,”
