A fun all day cafe where husband and wife team Trevor and Sutathip Lombaer serve up their takes on Thai classics and nostalgic American favorites.
“The street adjacent to this restaurant is a literal Fortnite lobby. I swear I passed Tung Tung Tung Sahur crossing the street. The thing about this restaurant is that it is inspired by Thai street food and you can tell they did the distressed tiles to make it seem lived in. But that vibe is offset by a super Brooklyn-y merch section and pricing. Not that i’m complaining. The smash burger and crab fried rice (wym a crab fried this rice??) were delicious! The fried rice particularly spiked my LDL levels that’s why it tasted so good but if your cholesterol is high then have 911 on speed dial. It comes with a spoon of palpitations (yuzu miso butter) on the side. My mouth is watering @kismette on substack for reviews”
“Came for the smashburger on NYE and it was probably the best burger I’ve had all year. The flavors work together so well with the perfectly juicy patty, and the fried duck egg (a must!) is the icing on the cake. Paired it with the rice lager beer and it was the perfect lunch - just wish they offered it during dinner as well. Service can be a bit slow during peak hours but they were all very nice.”
“Cool place, good food. The Crab Rangons 5/5 were delicious, melt in your mouth good The Chicken Khao Soi 3/5 was interesting, seemed to almost be good but something flavour profile wise was slightly off, also the chicken we added to the dish seemed grey and could be much higher quality meat very clearly. The Seared Ribeye Crudo 4.25/5 was expensive at $20, but had a nice flavour Overall a nice place, you can tell the other dishes: Drunken Noodles, Burger ( Lunch only ) would be better”
“Good place for Thai twisted food. We got Krapow burger and Thai tea. Burger was good, the spicy was kicked! But the Thai tea was quite fade for me. The restaurant was cute and cozy. They have few tables, inside looks so clean. They have cute merchs as well, like some shirts and tote bags. I want to go back and try their holy basil stir fried and crispy pork belly.”
“Great dinner here with friends. We had crab fried rice, papaya salad, tomato salad, short rid. All were really good. I really enjoyed the short rib. But I thought all were good. The papaya salad had good spice to it. My friends are more into Thai food than I am and they were very happy. Service was great. Very nice staff. The decor inside is much better than what the outside might make you think. If you found this helpful follow me. I don’t give many 5* because I reserve that for the very best in food, service and experience. I try to be quick to the most important stuff, the food. Then add notes about the rest. Enjoy!”
