Olle is the sister restaurant of PyeongAnDong, NJ. Come enjoy all of our classic best-sellers including galbi-jjim and naeng-myeon.
“I heard their Naeng myun was a top seller and needed to try it since it’s getting hotter. I made a reservation for two, arrived early, and was seated early. - Was pleasantly surprised by the cold barley tea they provide instead of water. - Appreciate that they have pictures on their menu so you can get a sense of what you’re going to get. - I went with a friend and we tried the Sooyook, mini Mool Naeng Myun (a personal favorite), and mini Galbi. We also got the Pear Ade and Green Grape Ade mocktails. - Naeng Myun broth had a solid base flavor. I like mine a bit more acidic so I tend to add vinegar and mustard but if they didn’t have it I would’ve been fine with it. They didn’t use the usual buckwheat noodles which I would’ve preferred because I think they have a nicer chew. -Sooyook was solid and I enjoyed the assorted condiments they provided. Would’ve loved to eat them with lettuce but overall I was pleased. - Galbi looked amazing served with the bone and tasted great. - Mocktails were refreshing. Highly recommend the Pear Ade if you love lean pear!”
“Wife was craving naengmyun tonight so we decided to stop in. This restaurant is amazing. We classify it as one of those "what if your halmonee went to culinary school" type restaurants. Traditional classic Korean dishes but with an emphasis on quality ingredients, balance, precision, and process refinement. Like Danji or Hanjan. Bibim naengmyeon was excellent, well balanced. It wasn't too sweet, nor plastered over with sauce. Mul naengmyun had a more dashi/myeolchi forward broth, and felt like they were leaning to make it more vegetarian friendly. Banchans amazed us both with their quality and with the attentiveness of the staff. We got kimchi (more on the savory end than the sour end) tteokbokki (perfectly cooked tteok), namul, potato and onion jeon (fried well, could be a bit crisper though). And the staff restocked them every time they went empty. Wife and I were shocked everytime they brought more banchan, in Flushing we always have to ask for more everywhere we go. A+”
“Really good restaurant serving very tasty dishes. Had the beef rib followed by cooked (at your table) rice. All the condiments were good tasting. Will come back to try other dishes.”
“I am so happy to be updating this review. After our terrible reservation mix-up last time, the restaurant reached out and invited us back. I decided to give them a second chance, and I am SO glad I did. The Olle team completely exceeded our expectations with both the food and the service. To make up for the previous experience, they were incredibly generous and hooked us up with complimentary Sooyook (boiled pork) and soda. Now, the food... wow. We ordered the Galbi Jjim and Honguh Jjim. The Galbi Jjim was, no joke, the best I have ever had in NYC. It was unbelievably tender and literally melted in your mouth. And pairing the Galbi Jjim with the Hooshik Bibim is a game-changer. The combination of flavors and textures was so unique and delicious. The Bokkeumbab (fried rice) at the end was also the perfect finish. The service was just as amazing. Our servers were super friendly and enthusiastically walked us through the best way to eat every dish. The owner even came by personally to check on us and make sure we were having a great time. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. We left incredibly happy. Huge thank you to the Olle Team for turning a really bad first impression into a 5-star experience. We will 100% be back!”
“The food was hit or miss. The dumplings were amazing. The braised ribs were tough. The oxtail soup was OK but nothing amazing. The side dishes were pretty good. I liked the vibes and the service although it wasn't great that some servers often spoke to each other very close to us. Kind of disruptive.”
