“We hosted our baby shower at Panzon in March, and David and the whole team at Panzon were so wonderful to work with! We hosted about 25 people in the back half of the restaurant for a Sunday afternoon event. We were able to do large plate ordering that could have been served buffet style or family style - we went with buffet and drinks a la carte with margarita pitchers out on the tables. Every bite was delicious - guacamole, tuna tostadas, tacos (beef, chicken, fish) and churros for dessert. David and the team were so accommodating to the decorations and spacing set up we wanted - which is rare for a New York restaurant! The staff made sure everyone was so well taken care of throughout the whole event! We've been to Panzon multiple other times for dinners throughout the year and always love our experience. The back patio in the Summer time can't be beat! My favorite dish is the tuna tostada. We would absolutely recommend Panzon for an event or night out. Thank you to the whole restaurant staff for an awesome shower that friends raved about!”
“Hands down everything about this restaurant was amazing, from the ambiance, food, and cocktails! Greenpoint is an adorable location, and tends to have some of the best food in the city. Panzón is fresh, it’s young, and it’s delicious! I would go back AGAIN! I think the corn elote was my fave dish of the evening.”
“Came here with my best friend to catch up and we had a great time. The atmosphere is beautiful and the music is at the level to still be able to hold a conversation. My friend arrived before me and ordered us two margaritas and a beer to catch the happy hour prices. Then we tried the happy hour tacos. We had one of each, mushroom Al Pastor, Tinga and carnitas. I think the Al pastor isn’t bad just not my favorite vegetarian taco I’ve tried. Then the tinga surprised me - it’s actually very good and tastes very similar to what I grew up eating at home. My favorite was the carnitas taco. The tacos with the chile de árbol salsa or salsa macha is a great blend. Then I ordered the carnitas gorditas and they were amazing - the Gordita was made made perfectly - I prefer a more crunchy Gordita than a fluffy one. My friend tried the sticky wings - they were cooked extra crispy like we asked for but the flavor wasn’t bad it was unexpected - there’s chamoy in their sauce, while they’re not bad wings they’re not great either. The yuzu spritz truly stood out- very refreshing The server was nice.”
“I went on Friday with a friend after hearing so many good things about this place. I didn’t even mind transferring twice to get there from Astoria to Greenpoint because I was really excited to try it. The food was good. The wings were amazing, and we also had the gorditas everything we ordered was delicious. The drinks, though, were just okay. Nothing memorable. What really threw me off was the service. Our waitress felt very standoffish no eye contact, not very welcoming. I even tried to say hi and ask how she was doing, and it just felt cold. For that price point and the effort it took to get there, I expect a more friendly and inviting experience. I honestly felt hesitant to even ask for something simple as a napkin because of the vibe. I didn’t mind the long commute, but I wouldn’t come back because of the service alone. If you’re already in the neighborhood, it’s worth trying for the food but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it again.”
“We ordered the wings, tinga tacos, (weren't added to our order the first time), churros. Tbh I should have left once I knew the tacos weren't placed the first time. We didn't finish the wings, I asked if I could take what's left to go(whatever we left, it was thrown out) but gave us the churros to go? The churros (2) are overpriced, they don't come with champurrado like it says on the menu & you're not being told that, when I did ask, they had to find out because they weren't sure. All I got was "sorry about that". Very disappointed at this place, I was really excited to try this place for the longest.”
