Our restaurant, Wan Waan, was founded by a chef from the eastern region of Thailand. With a passion for bringing rich and flavorful cuisine from various regions together, we aim to make each dish stand out in terms of deliciousness. Our diverse menu is the result of trial and error, always ensuring it pleases our customers' palates the most. We carefully select dishes that our customers love and include them in our menu. At Wan Waan, we emphasize feelings through the tastes of food. By stimulating positive emotions, our tasty food will establish the roots for a future nostalgia. Let’s make delicious memories! Then we will think of “Wan Waan” together.
“The restaurant was very accommodating and fit the five of us in without reservations. Another bonus for offering happy hour until 8 p.m. with snacks and drink specials. The rice cake was so unique and tasty! All the cocktails were delicious and boozy! The service was prompt and friendly (big thanks for letting our group split the check!). Can’t wait to come back again soon!”
“Had a great meal at WanWaan. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Crying Tiger Steak was tender and packed with flavor, and the Mango Sticky Rice was the perfect ending to the meal. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Would definitely come back!”
“Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! The pineapple duck curry was rich and flavorful, and the steak over rice was especially impressive. The rice was stir-fried with mushrooms, which added so much depth and made it incredibly tasty. Definitely a standout dish—highly recommend!”
“I came here for a casual dinner and was honestly impressed by both the ambiance and the food presentation. The space feels warm, intimate, and thoughtfully designed — perfect for a relaxed evening. We ordered a variety of dishes: • Lychee Thai iced tea (refreshing and not overly sweet) • Tom Yum Goong (rich, balanced, and comforting) • Phuket crab curry (very flavorful, slightly on the richer side) • Vermicelli noodle set (fresh and light) • Crying Tiger steak (well-seasoned, nicely grilled) Everything was well presented and came out in a good pace. The portion sizes are fair for NYC. 💡 What stood out to me: The overall dining experience felt aesthetic, clean, and easy, not overly commercialized like many Thai spots. 📍 Good for: • Casual date nights • Catch-ups with friends • Solo “treat yourself” dinners 💰 Price: Around $60–70 per person — reasonable for Manhattan. Overall, a solid spot if you’re looking for a cozy Thai dinner with a slightly elevated feel.”
“Solid menu and great service. The menu was light on desserts but drinks, apps and entrees all more than adequate. The dishes were flavorful and delicious. The pepper grading system for spice level may have been a little generous as the “3 pepper” seemed more a “2” otherwise no complaints. Vegan dishes were available but vegetarian could be better. This is not a unique issue as fish sauce and shrimp paste are common ingredients really more of a request…if risotto can be made with veg stock instead of chicken stock then there are options here as well. Will be back!”
